DL 2700 Alarm lock malfunction with constant alarm

I have a DL 2700 that continues to sound the alarm in spite of new batteries.i changed the battery unit out with another DL2700 that i have and this did not solve it..

I have had this happen on a 3500 and I had to replace the keypad assy. But, you may want to try to restore factory settings just to see if it resets. Disconnect the battery pack and hold down any number key for 10 seconds (this bleeds off any charge that may be in the capacitors). Reconnect the battery and within 3 seconds, press and hold the "A" key. After hearing 6 beeps, release the "A" key and wait for 5 seconds for the lock to re-lock (listen for 1 beep and red LED).
If successful, this will reset factory settings, which means the master code is now 1 2 3 4 5. If you need a programming manual, go to www.alarmlock.com At the top of the home page click on "support". Scroll to the bottom of the support page and click on Technical Library. Scroll down that page and find "trilogy DL programming manuals" and under that click on "download DL2700 enhanced instructions". I hope this is some help!

sounds like the alarm needs resetting , look in the owners manual for the procedurer,might even just need a new battery in the key/fob unit

I have the Firex i4618, after changing the battery it continues to chirp, have tried 2 new Duracell proper model batteries with same result.


Smoke Detecotrs have a limited lifespan of 5-7 years. So sounds like you need new one (Its not worth to buy just a sensor). Take a look on amazon Amazon: Amazon com Smoke Alarm. I hope this helped you. Have a nice day

I have a factory installed alarm on my 2003 jeep cherokee ,how do i disable alarm


Hello! The drivers side door lock/unlock switch is more than likely defective...Having said that, the alarm system on Jeeps are a constant problem...To disable the system requires removing the drivers door panel and cutting the Light Green/Orange wire at the switch...And installing a 465 Ohm resistor...Not something done without the necessary skills...
I would have the vehicle towed to a Jeep dealer and have them test the drivers door switch and disable the alarm....Guru...saailer

I came home from vacation and the red LED was steady on. I replaced the batteries, and reset the master code. Everything seems to work, but the red LED is still on steady. How do I turn this off?


I have reviewed the installation and programming literature for the DL 2700 and there is no mention of circumstances where the red LED should stay on. Concerning your problem, I would expect that the constant-glowing LED may drain the batteries over time and prevent your lock from working. I urge you to give Alarm Lock a call at this number
800-252-5625 during regular business hours (East coast) and request Technical Assistance.

I connected 8, 100Ah battery with APC 2.2KVA inverter, now it doesnt give correct battery indication and keep producing beeping noise, whats the problem?


Continuous Beeping (theamber On Battery LED will be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the UPS has reached aLow Battery condition and will soon shutdown. The UPS can only operate onbattery for a limited amount of time. In order to protect the unit's batteriesfrom discharging too much, the UPS will shutdown and turn off its output. Towarn you that the unit will soon shutdown, the UPS will sound this alarm 2minutes before actual shutdown. With optional Powerchute Plus software, 2minutes can be changed to 5, 7, or 10 minutes to give you more of a warning ofimpending shutdown. If you hear this tone, you should immediately gracefullyshutdown your operating system to prevent data loss or corruption.
Note:This graceful shutdown will occur automatically if Powerchute PLUS software isbeing used.

Constant, Solid Tone (the red Overload LEDwill be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the UPS has detectedan Overload condition. If this alarm is sounded, try removing non-essentialequipment. The alarm will remain until the load is reduced. According the installations instructions for the DL 27, the DL2700 uses five AA-size 1.5 volt alkaline batteries.See Page 11 of the installation instructions:

I have a Trilogy DL 2700 lock on my secure facility, we changed the code about 2 weeks ago, the green light is active however the door handle part is not locking today and people are able to enter with...

First find out if you are dealing with a D2700 or the newer enhanced version. Press any 2 buttons and *,if you get a green LED and 6 beeps it is the new version.

Then please contact them for technical assistance.

Trilogy dl 2700 serries digital lock program managers code


First you need to know if you have a standard 2700 or the new enhanced version, it makes a big difference. Press any 2 buttons then star, if you get no response it is a standard version, if it beeps several times it is the new version. If it is the standard version, disconnect the battery and press any button. Now you are at factory default. Reprogram the master code, remember the master code and the operating code must b e the same length. 12345 A 1 A new master code A new master code. The master code is the only code that needs to be entered twice during it's programming. To set a manager code press; master code A2A new manager code, to set a new user code; enter master code or manager code A11A new user code. The programming must be done during the lock's unlock window so write down the procedure you intend to use to make things go quicker, if you need more time you can change the unlock window, it is probably set at the factoy 5 seconds. Press master code A45A4, this will give you a 20 second window to program the lock, when you are finished change the lock back to 5 seconds, press; master code A45A1, keep the open window short to conserve batteries.
