Thier is a switch attached to the side of you case ans in the even that the side is open the switch stops the computer from operating. This is xcalled a Chassis Intrusion switch. You may just disconnect the switch. it is is not working correctly.

Very simple shut down computer put side panel back on and restart go into bios and under the settings somewhere you will see enable chassis intrusion. Just disable that. If you put cover back on then proceeded by turning power on and you still get this error than it is time to clear CMOS and then you must go into the bios and hit setup default and then go into any timings and voltage settings for CPU Memory and such. and also disable the chassis intrusion. You can enable it at anytime. just as long it is not powered up when removing side panel. I hope this is helpful.

Chassis intruded... fatal error.. system halt..

If your case is not setup for chassis intrusion, the motherboard has dropped a jumper.
The location is by the last PCI slot between the CD audio connector and the USB bus plug. (it is right next to the CLRTC jumpers)

Good luck

Chassis intruded ! fatal error.....system halted

Some cases have a switch that activates if the case has not been closed fully.
This sounds like the type of error report this problem causes.
Make sure that your pc case is fully closed and has not been damaged

the motherboard detected movement or the computer casing was opened whilst the pc was on.

check to see if the case is open of if the conacts are ok.if the problem persists you may have to turn off the feature in bios

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error...System Halted

you need to go into the bios of your pc.....usually pressing the delete key when you see the first logo screen after booting up....look for a section that relates to errors and what the bios is supposed to do when it encounters an error.
i.e if you see a line in the bios that says "halt on all errors" disable it and when you next boot up the bios will not stall.

I'm not familiar with that particulat model, but I'd guess the motherboard has a chassis switch connector, and senses the chassis be open. Could be because: - chassis open (close it), - switch defect (as a workaround, you could short-circuit it, or just unplug it - whichever solution works for you). As another workaround, you can probably disable this switch in BIOS.
