There is an exit hose behind the machine. This hose should be approx 3 feet above ground level, you may find a water mark behind the machine; then it goes down into the sink or standpipe in the wall. This hose holds the water, your pump pumps it over the height as & when required; the hose is never let loose at floor level.

Septic vs washout tub?

Waste water from the washer is not pumped out but rather is gravity fed down the drain. You cannot drain the water up higher than the washing machine's drain outlet. You would have to cut into the drain pipe - below the level of your washer's drain outlet - and put in a T that will tie into the drain pipe and allow for some type of connection to be made from your washer's drain hose.

Water running through. lights flashing

If machine has just been installed check that the height of the outlet pipe is higher then the level of the drum otherwise the water will siphon out.

Hi there, my machine won't fill up, but is instead draining. The water is coming out of the waste pipe, instead of filling the drum!

Would your waste pipe be too low OR do you have drain pipe taped tight to waste pipe that can cause siphen..Note waste pipe should be as high as the back of the washer and held in pipe but not taped so no air can get it..If I helped you please vote if you need more help please ask...and good luck

Water goes in then straight out of the waste pipe

The waste pipe is probably too low, this is letting the water syphon out.
Try lifting the outlet pipe higher up, this should solve the prob.
There is a line on the back of the washer, which incates the min hieght for drain outlet.

Thanks.

Are you wiping the glass and the water seal (you have to peel it back to get at the pooled water) each and every load? We used to have a top-load and never had to do this before, but if you dry it every time it won't mildew.

If you weren't you will have to wash the rubber gasket with vinegar or some other solvent... Check your owner's guide.

Stegnant water smell

It should completely empty the m/c.
If it is plumbed into your sink waste this could be cause of smell, also if it is connected to your waste make sure the hose is above the bottom of the sink trap,as water can sometimes syphon back into the washer from the sink. Remove hose from sink connection and clean and check for obstruction.
I doubt your pump is faulty.
If it goes into a stand pipe make sure this is not partially blocked, and again clean stand pipe with a strong disinfectant or similar

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Check that your outlet pipe rises above the stated height on the back of the machine (about 3/4 of the way up). If it is too low, it will siphon the water out of the drum. If you're not sure what height it should be at, raise the top of the pipe (ie where it bends back into the outflow pipe) above the top of the machine (if you have room) or as high as you can. It must be above the height of the drum.

Good Luck
