Very display card using memory and if the memory is loss and need to find it but can't find it, so the system is halted. this also same like RAM that every PC have where it cannot function the computer also halted.
Normally happening because of dust near the plug in inside the PCI slot also same like RAM. We go to the service centre then ask them to clean all the hardware component inside laptop or desktop. After that makesure they also reinstall the driver again;
If It happening again; advice change the graphic Card because it cannot function very well or not function at all.
Others could be from the Window Defender or some people dont relliaze that they got Window defender software. Where function of window defender is good. But something Digital sinagnature from Microsoft cannot support this version and window defender always focus on software that don't have permitted for joining the OS of Microsoft whether XP sp2, Vista or others OS from Microsoft. It could be the reason.
Logical that I found it because I check one PC that bought in 2005, when today got software from microsoft Window defender; it scan all the software and try to get digital signature for integrate with Microsoft OS for making good performance; but what happening This error occur ati2dvag has stop working properlly.
or any other driver installed in your laptop is getting blocked while you r using some files as this is making it freeze.so just reinstall your operating sytem after deleting the curent operating system in your pc.

This tends to be the problem of overheating .

Check whether there is proper ventilation for fan.

Heatsink can be the problem .

Advent wireless mouse AMWL13 works for 30 seconds then freezes

Sorry to hear you're having that problem, Karen. I was unable to find the model # that you posted, but I DID find something for an M312 wireless mouse made by Advent:

http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/forums/advent-printers-and-peripherals/advent-m312-wireless-optical-mouse-freezes-problem

If you look at the response to this issue, it lists everything I would've typed in here to suggest trying. Wireless peripherals are a "strange animal", in that so many different factors can influence their optimal operating condition. Hopefully something in this article can help you, and good luck! :)

We have an Advent 7088 laptop and want to connect it to wireless router. We thought a wireless facility was already installed in the 7088 but when we try the wireless on/off button nothing happens. What...

Try this: I found it after doing some searching on the web.

Wireless card stops working after upgrading to Windows Vista
After upgrading to Windows Vista everything works fine apart the Marvell Wireless card, when you press the button nothing happens.
There seems to be three different ways of solving this problem (there is a fourth - don't install Vista) and I've listed them below, hopefully at least one should work for you.
The first solution is to press the wireless button while Windows Vista is loading, you have to be quick though as it only works if you press the button between the loading scrolling lines logo (after the post screen) and before the windows logo appears.
The second is to go into Device Manager, select the Marvell Wireless card and then go to Properties>Advanced>Default Adhoc Mode. Here change the Default Adhoc mode to B or G. When you confirm the change the wireless connection should become active, if it doesn't then press the wireless button and try changing the setting again.
The third method is to create a desktop shortcut to the wireless adapter. Go to [Network and Sharing Centre]>[Manage Network Connections] and then right click the wirless connection and choose Create Shortcut. You can then switch on the wireless at any time, just point at the shortcut then right click and chose Disable. Once its disabled right click on the shortcut again and choose Enable. It should then connect within 20-30 seconds.

Overheating and sporadic shutdown - does this follow screen freezes and fan stopping?

I would suggest you have the fans/heat sinks cleaned as soon as you can. it is most likely shutting down because of heat (thermal shutdown). on some laptops the fan doesn't come on till close to melt down (my inspiron laptop is great for that). If you are at uncomfortable with taking the bottom of the laptop off to clean out the dust and dirt from the fan take it to a shop and have it done.
you may want to invest in one of those laptop chillers... basically a stand with fans on it. they make usb ones that get there power from the usb connection. abit ruff on the battery if you are not using a/c but better then replacing the cpu.

How to repair the screen of Advent 7092 Window XP version. Help Please!

This may not be damage, it could be the wrong driver.
Go to the control panel, look at the device menu to see if the display is possibly marked as not working correctly.
Then look at the display settings to see if new driver alternatives have appeared.

Incorrect drivers can damage a display; I've seen it happen (unfortunately).

Dell Dimension 2400 Freezes frequently

check inside the case of the computer to make sure that the interface cable between the hard drive and the motherboard are fully connected. Also check to see if the RAM modules are fully inserted into their slots. If not, they try removing them one by one, until the computer starts up faster. If this doesn't fix it, then try a new hard drive, and interface cable.

TOSHIBA LAP TOP

If you move your laptop screen to were it works sometimes and doest work other, it sounds like it could have a loose connection in the ribbon cable. Most laptop lcd screens are connected to the main board through a brown looking ribbon cable. if this cable has become loosened, then yes it can be a DIY type job.

if you attempt to take the laptop apart, i sugguest you keep a record of what type screws go where.

Good luck!
