my AOC crt monitor 5En model has this problem. it has over width the compress button (<> ) is no longer functioning what particular component should i check or adjust inside the circuit? please i need ur help..
actually if u repair an aoc monitor alone without getting connected to cpu once u switch on the monitor all led's will lit on ( green light ) it will remain on situation until u connect the vga connector to cpu that's the time led's will lit off and only the power led will remain in green condition.some aoc 5en once u power on power led is in green condition and if not connected to cpu it will be in orange condition.hope u get some idea but i am not sure if it will work with ur monitor. but as long as LEDs lit on i think no problem with ur monitor.
this is called hline problem. only a thin line is seen in the screen and the screen is black. the cabinet needs to be opened then it needs slight setting from the picture tube to get the whole picture.
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SOLDER. IF SO, TRY TO OPEN THE MONITR AND LOCATE THE VERTICAL SECTION AND YOU WILL FIND LOOSE SOLDERS. A SINGLE HORIZONTAL LINE MEANS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE VERTICAL LINEARITY OF YOUR MONITOR. FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO FIX COLD SOLDERS
I alreeady encountered this problem. I fix it temporarily.... I just turn it off, Press all the Function btn and the recall btn, then pres the On btn... wait for 2 sec then release the func, recall btn. Then I already able to use the PC for about o hours without interrupted signal (on/off). I call it temporary fix because whenever you turn off the Monitor, you have to do the same process again..
Try it it can help.. Thnaks.... If you already find solution , maybe you can share it to me too .. Thanks..
