Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
The motherboard is a INTEL CENTRINO CORE DUO T5200 with NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 7600 (256 MO) which is packing up on a lot of customers at the moment and HP does not want to admit that their NVIDIA chipsets (that are soldered on the motherboards) are defective.
way to expensive and risky to get the same motherboard changed so looking for an alternative solution not using the NVIDIA chipsets of course. i'm not a sophisticated user and am willing to check out various cost-effective solutions. the laptop is only 2 years old and far too good looking to throw into the bin !! am counting on your expert advice. caio.
Do a system restore F11 see if this helps.
I Have a compaq persario v6000 and wheni rang up with a problem they gave me a free out of warrenty service so just give them a ring.
On the HP website theres a list of faulty laptops, have a look, i think your one is listed, and they will repair it.
if not... Have a look on ebay for a faulty DV9217EA that you can have the spares out of.
Hope this helps
