There is kind of a gray area when it comes to multipurpose electronics. Not many are supported by universal remotes, this includes VCR/DVD combos. It gets even more confusing when you have the VCR/DVD/TV combo. You need a remote that can handle each function separately and you need to understand that each function must be used separately. You need to switch between functions to use the individual parts of the combo(eg switch to tv to turn it on and off, switch to DVD for dvd Functions and VCR for VCR functions). If you, however, feel obligated to use the universal: 1. make sure that it can handle all the functions of the device, and 2. look at the brand and model number of the remote, check on the company's website, in the support section, for the manual for that remote, the manual usually has the code lists for the various components it supports. I would contact ur nearest Bose dealer or Contact the company through the website to get a replacement remote, you will of course need the serial number for the product when you contact them, using a universal remote can make things easier but you will not be able to access most of the functions without the original
