I bought new cartridge, the printer seems to be printing, but there is nothing on the paper !! I doubt this has anything to do with the new cartridge~ (btw, the colour cartridge is also low on ink, but doesn't flash yet, besides I always select "use black cartridge only")... Can anyone help please?
It can't be anything else thatnthe cartridge. the ink hole is probably jamed or dried up. you probably have an option for this at the maintenance software, most printers do: Head cleaning. if you're sure you don't have that, take a needle, be very very careful and pearce the opening on the cartridge where the ink is supposed to come out.

While waiting for more info from you, Look for these :
If you have bought a new cartridge: Make sure you purchased the right ink. Make sure you removed the tape covering the print head. Make sure you have installed the the cartridge correctly. Look for the expiration date, old cartridges dry out!
If you have had the cartridge in the printer for a long time the ink might have crusted on the print head take out the cartridge and rinse the print head under warm tap water for a minute or so. then dry the hole cartridge thoroughly with a paper cloth OBS! don't rub the print head too much! put the cartridge back in the printer. If it doesn't help, maybe it is time to get a new cartridge!
Happy fixing things! PLZ, Don't forget to rate! Bruce
Your issue with the black ink only is because the print head my be dried up. Witch me that the ink cant flow to the "paper" fast enough. So by time to rollers eject the paper, the ink cant print on the paper. I had the same problem with my Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-In-One. So I contacted Kodak and they are sending me a new one. Try doing the same. Contact your manufacture and ask them..... :)
