I bought my Black & Decker Jump Start system but did not open the box and left it in my car trunk. I was told that they need to be charged so I took it out and tried to charge it, but it would not...

in a word,,,,,yes! if the battery was left so long in a flat state it may never recoover so you wont charge it up,,,,,but you could try hooking up a small car battery charger to the jump leads and try charging it up that way,,,it may just work,,,

Looking for an instruction guide for a ''Challenge'' jump starter for Cars. The red switch on the model has three positions OFF/CHARGE/ON. I need to know which switch is to recharge the car battery and not...

The 'ON' position is for charging OR jumping the car battery. Normally, you just hook the unit to the car battery to jump start it, then remove it and the car alternator will charge the car battery.

Need instructions on how to use black and decker jump start

OK I dont have the exact model number but you can go to Dewaltservicenet.com and I used the model VEC026 which is a jump start unit, I would think that the operation would be similar. In the middle of the site at the bottom of the page type in that number or your exact model number and you can get the instruction manual online you might have to choose between a couple but I just found one. Good luck and let me know if you have any trouble
