Question about Samsung TL34HD / NV100HD Digital Camera

My computer running XP Media edition 2005 won't recognise my nv100hd camera. My other computer running xp home will. I have tried uninstalling usb drivers and a new lead. The two items just will not see each other. Any thoughts?

Why not format your computer and install XP Home. Try it, that might work. As you've said, your other computer with xp home installed is compatible with nv100hd camera. - To avoid further hassles, feel free to contact https://www.techienow.com if you need efficient assistance fixing your computer issues.

Hi there. Try this.
Turn your computer off. Unplug the camera from the computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the camera is off and when you have rebooted, connect the usb cable to the computer. Make sure your not using a usb hub.
Turn your camera on and go to my computer. See if it's listed in your drives.
Let me know if this helps with a comment. If it does help, feel free to rate my answer, and thanks for coming to FixYa.

Can't download photos from Panasonic Lumix ZS30 camera to pc with Windows XP Media Center edition

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

Both the Canon XT 350D and the XTi 400D are recognized by any PC with XP windows operative system. It seems you have to check your USB port or USB cable used to connect your cameras to the PC. Sometimes, the PC does not recognize a specific device connected to an USB port. Yopu can get into the System -device manager screen, and uninstall the USB port, and run the utility to recognize changes in the device manager. This will install the USB port driver again, and if it is a software issue the reason of the problem, then it will be fixed.

Also, you can check your cameras and USB cable in a different PC so you can confirm if they both work has should be.
