I am not using this router but i am giving you normal password setting steps...

Open you web browser and put the IP address and login your router with username and password(default). Now find to reset password,it will most likely be under the "security" settings.
You will need to select WEP or WPA settings (WPA is more secure) and if WEP, choose a 128 bit encryption rather than 64 bit. Keep in mind that the moment you save it, you will loose your connection until you add the password in the settings on your computer that control the adapter that receives the signal from the router.
It is also advisable to make your SSID invisible to others; that way it will be more difficult for your system to be found and hacked.

SOURCE: Blitzz Router

Ah, you can no longer use the modem or the Blitzz screen to connect to your Internet connection. You'll need to patch another Ethernet cord from the router to your Ethernet port on your computer and it should automatically connect. If you still get prompted to dial, open up Internet Explorer and ignore any prompts to dial and then click Tools, then Internet Options, then click the Connections tab at the top, then click the selection to Never Dial a Connection. Confirm your choice by clicking OK and then try browsing the Internet like usual.

Blitzz wifi router default userID and password?

The default is admin and admin...

If that doesn't work, the reset button will clear the stored login information and reset your router to factory default.
Make sure you hold that button for about 15-20 seconds before you release it. After you did this, you can access your router again via the default IP address2.gif of 192.168.1.1

The default username and password for your Blitzz router are both "admin".

Don't forget that all your personal settings will be erased as well (wireless security2.gif, port forwarding etc.

Will Blitzz BWA 711 reset button clear the password/login, too?

Yes - the reset button will clear the stored login information and reset your router to factory default.
Make sure you hold that button for about 15-20 seconds before you release it. After you did this, you can access your router again via the default IP address of 192.168.1.1

The default username and password for your Blitzz BWA711 router are both "admin".

Don't forget that all your personal settings will be erased as well (wireless security, port forwarding etc.)

This is what I did after entering all that information again:
I went to each screen and took a snapshot of that window (Press ALT+PrintScreen). This screenshot I copied into a Word document and repeated these steps with all important windows. Now I have a little "manual" in case I have to reset my router again and can't remember my "fancy" settings.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

I am trying to secure my blitzz wireless router so that no one else can mooch off of it.

Normally, routers come with a software wizard that will help you set up your wireless and security settings. If this is not the case, you will need to do it manually.
First, you will need the IP of the router. Sometimes it's listed on the bottom of the device, sometimes it's in the manual, sometimes both. If you still cannot find it, try searching for 'defaul ip for XXXXXXX' where x is your router's modle number.

Then, go into IE (or Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.) and type the IP into the address bar.

It may ask you for a user name and password. Most times the user name is admin and the password is either admin or there is no password.

Search through the page for wireless security settings. When you find it, use something like WPA for your encryption method, or WEP if you don't have WPA. Then just give the router a pass key that you will remember.
Save the changes, and you're done.

I need to set my blitzz router to a new setting using only a g mode and put it on channel 9 using a 10 diget web key security can you do that for me. Linda

Using your wired pc, open Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 and enter. You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.Click on WIRELESS LAN tab. You should see there the Wireless Network Mode. Change it to your desired mode and also the wireless channel you can change it there. Save the changes you made. That's should do it. Hope that helps!

How do I password secure a Blitzz wireless router?

You need to log into the wireless router either by a computer that successfully connects wirelessly or by physically connecting with an ethernet cable. Once connected, log into the router by open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari), and typing the router's address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) into the Address (or URL) line. The default usernameand password is usually "admin" & "admin" or "admin" & "password". Once successfully logged in, look for a tab or link that says "Wireless" or "Security". You'll be able to change whether security is enabled or disabled, and the password associated with it. Your security options are WEP or WPA (or WPA-PSK). WPA-PSK is the most secure, but WEP is also an acceptable choice. Select the security option of your choice and either enter text into the passphrase generator or choose your own password and type it into one of the security key text fields. If you use a password that is not a plain english combination of letters and numbers, be sure to write it down so that you can enter it as needed on other wireless devices that need to access your router (ie-pda phones, game consoles, laptops, desktops, etc). Be sure to save changes so that the security settings and password is saved.
Let me know how you make out.

Need to set a password for my blitzz wireless router

Hi,
If you type www.routerlogin.com into the internet url bar, it'll ask you for the password for your router.. Just leave it blank and you can access the router settings menu and change your password in there. Write it down! Also, if you want you can enable WEP or WPA encryption protection for your wifi connection in there too, and it will prompt you to confirm the password.. Write it down!
exit from the browser and it is done.
Hope this helps
