well it will depend on the information you have on the card, the palm cant read a sd card like a pc do! it only recognizes palm data such as .pdb .prc photos that are synced with palm desktop and mp3 with a media player! if you want to see the info in a windows like explorer you can try Resco Explorer, its paid but it worth the price!
1. Click on time in upper left corner
2. Select info
3. On device drop down select sd card
4. Lower right corner select MORE
5. Click on card info tab
6. Select Format
If it doesn't come up, the card is toast for this unit
Palm Expansion Slot - Expansion cards can be added for extra memory, data back up or slot content such as reference and language translators, sold separately.
You can use SD, SDIO or MMC memory cards. Take your unit to Office Depot, or Best Buys and purchase one. You can probavbly try it in the store before purchasing.
The problem is simply that the Tungsten E2 cannot read SD cards larger than 1 GB. However, there is a solution that will enable it to read larger cards. A driver called PowerSDHC is available from PalmPowerups.com that will enable the E2 to read cards of any size. I'm now running an 8 GB SDHC card on my E2!
yes, you can format, if you can get your card to show up as a drive on your pc through usb cable you should be able to right click the drive then choose format .. You will loose all info on the card though!!
Either that or i believe there maybe some dodgy cards being made. For example they may say they hold 4gb and show up on computers as 4gb but actually have considerably less space.
Do you have real player on your E2 and your desktop. I can tell you exactly how to do it. Go to fixya live chat and ask for Just_bobz. I had an E2 with 150 songs on it. Mine broke for other reason but I still remember
They won't. Your SD card has to be installed in your E2 and you have to load the pics (multiples if you want using your media icon on your desktop software. There are more steps which I know by heart. Do you have the desktop software?
A lot of palm haldhelds only support SD cards up to 1gb. The 2gb and up ones are not supported. So check your manual and figure out waht the maximum size of sd card is in your palm, or try a smaller size SD card.
