Pen drive? A USB drive? Have you formatted the drive? Do you have Admin. rights? Remove the USB drive , reboot the computer, insert the usb device, does the computer ID the device and apply a driver? Do you get a popup? Does it show in Computer? What are you trying to copy to the drive?
You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Hi there This mainly happens when someone else has been on the laptop and have been into the bios to create a HDD password accidentally or otherwise. you may be able to reset the password from within the bios although this is highly unlikely, you may have to ask your son what the password is or if a friend could have created a password. Your not going to be able to access the hard drive until you have or can change the password
