F&P Intuitive WM. Needs Bearings and seals replaced

Our Fisher and Paykel Washing machine needs new bearings and seals.
Is this something that a handyman can acomplish and if so, how does one go about it.
Where can I get the parts in NZ.

Hello you can get the parts from any New Zealand F & P service center( $50-80nz). You need a special F & P tool kit (you can buy for around $100nz from F & P also) to remove the seal and bearings and to insert the new. unless you know an appliance tech or have a service manual it could be a tricky one. cheers

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Needs Service code 136

136. (10001000) Motor Stall
The Motor Control Module has been unable to start the motor. Possible causes of this fault
are: Faulty motor harness, faulty or jammed motor, seized bearings or seals, faulty Motor
Control Module, faulty Rotor Position Sensor or harness.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: Measure/check the motor harness, connectors and motor for
discontinuity. This can be done by taking a resistance measurement
between phases of the motor harness at the Motor Control Module
end. Nominal resistance should be around 32Ohms.
Secondary Source: Motor.
Action: 1) Check free rotation of the agitator and basket by rotating by hand.
Bearings and seals may be seized.
2) Check the Rotor Position Sensor and associated harness for
water, mechanical damage or corrosion.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: If the primary and secondary checks pass inspection, then replace
the Motor Control Module.

My washing machine has been sounding very noisy in the spin cycle, and today it started beeping "asking for a service" code 131. It is approximately 11 years old not sure whether to bother with a service...

if your unit has a lot of use then the noise is proberly bearings r faulty.leaking is proberly due to main seal fault. ring service centre get a qoute for main seal and bearing replacement.also an electrical fault has happened proberly due to leak,so that could b added cost.good luck with it please reply if u need more help.

Fisher and Paykel GW708F Screaming like a jet engine on spin!

Hi there

Yea if the machine sounds like a train going through the middle of your house when its on spin it will most definately by your seals and bearings, an easy way to check is lean the machine back onto something and look underneath if the main seal is leaking and the bearings are run there will be rusty looking residue on the motor rotor(the round thing in the middle of the drum), seals and bearings are fairly expensive to replace About $350NZD if no shaft is needed and up to $500NZD if a replacement shaft is needed.

I hope this helps you out.

I've got a fisher paykel gwl10 top load washing machine

Check the pipes leading to water pump for wetness also the door seal,If all pipes are dry and look ok then it could be due to the water seal and bearings braking down.
