My PC doesn't produce sound from any file or program on internet, for example when I download Winamp media play it doesnt produce sound but you can see that the music is playing

First check you dont have a red line through your speaker on your toolbar. If so click it and "UN-mute it.

Open volume control.

When the box with all the sliders opens up click on OPTIONS (top left)
Click PROERTIES

Make sure that Volume controls, Wave, SW Synth, CD PLayer, Line IN, and MIC all show on there and that the volume sliders are about half way up.

Make sure noe of the sliders have ticks at the bottom, if so UNTICK them.

If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else unles you know you want that item)

Now close the slider box.

Put a normal music cd in your cd/dvd player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.

You should now have sound out of the speakers.

Wont let me show anything

Have you recently installed any music players that may overwrite the default program used to play the files? Maybe you should try reinstalling Windows Media Player (click this). If Windows Media Player doesn't work for movies, try VLC Media Player (link). Try Winamp for music.

Easy solution is to go to my computer, and the external drive letter (probably E) and select all of your music and drag it to itunes window

I have sound distortion when i listen to music or videos on my computer.

Does it happen in all programs? Try Windows Media Player and an alternate (like WinAmp). If it happens in one, you need to check the equalizer in that program. If it happens in both, check the advanced sound settings on your soundcard
