I have a new Danby washing machine but leaks from the springs area and several other areas. Will not fill with water and no wash cycle will engage. Seems to drain...spins well...but has an "intermittent spin". Will any repair person be able to work on these problems or has to be familiar with Danby washers, in particular?? I have the DWM99W. It arrived with some water in the area below the tub. Is there a lower area that holds water beneath the actual tub?

Most likely the tubes bring water to your machine have disengaged. Find out where they are and refit securely.

You have a new washer so why not get the service agents out under warranty to fix the faulty machine
ask why there was water in a new machine as that indicates not new but second hand

SOURCE: danby washing machine noisy only during spin cycle

hi there,

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping/or sound
during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and
redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

SOURCE: Danby DWM99W doesn't agitate properly

Under the agitator, there is a plastic wheel with groove that goes on the metal shaft that is shaking the agitator to wash ur clother. On my machine, the plastic grooves are not there anymore, probably the effect of the cheap plastic rubbing on metal and that is why the agitator is not turning. Porely designed or maybe good design to make you spen money on fixing it. Just change the plastic wheel with a new one and it will start washing again.  Good luck.

SOURCE: Danby DWM99W Top Load Washer - water over flows

Two things to check. One ,when water is coming into tub, switch off at the plug and note if water stops or not.If it stops, then the solenoid is good. Remove the plastic pipe off the pressure switch and blow into the pipe. It must not be blocked. Clear if it is so. Check for any cracks:holes or breaks on the tube. Replace tube back onto pressure switch and remove opposite end. Blow softly and listen for a click. if so pressure switch is good. Replace tube and retry.

SOURCE: water leaks under machine when filling

Hello, if your washer leaks only when filling then you have to check these:
Air-gap device- The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.
THE TUBE - There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak
inlet spout- Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tube. If the spout cracks or breaks free of it's mounting, it can cause a leak.
Thanks

SOURCE: I need belt for Danby

You need to search appliance repair and find a local appliance repair company near you. Tell them the model number and they can look the part up for you and order it if they dont have it in stock. Then you can pick it up directly from them.

My whirlpool washer is leaking from the front center. Happens during spin cycle I think.

Hello.

If your washing machine is leaking, don't rush out to buy a new one just yet. Sometimes simple repairs to the machine can fix the leaks saving you hundreds of dollars and days of shopping for and installing a new one. Luckily, you don't have to be a master electrician to do repairs. These steps will walk you through the basics of fixing a washing machine.
Bellow are Instructions on how to solve the problem of leaking washing machine

    • 1 Look at the floor drain to make sure it isn't clogged. Sometimes it's not even the washing machine, but the drain causing those puddles of water on the floor. Unclogging the drain can be an easy and quick fix.
    • 2 Inspect the hoses for leaks or wear and tear in certain spots. Filling the washing machine may help identify any leaks or faulty hoses. If hoses are worn, replace them with non-burst stainless steel mesh hoses.
    • 3 Check the fittings of the existing hoses to the faucet fixtures and on the back of the washing machine. Sometimes a loose connection is the cause for the leaks. Tighten couplings and hose clamps if necessary to fix the leaks.
    • 4 Replace internal washers inside of the hoses if not replacing the entire hose. Something as small as a rubber gasket can create a lot of water damage. Use a screwdriver to pop the worn washer out and replace it. Repeat replacing washers on the other end of the hose.
    • 5 Examine internal components by opening the cabinet and starting the fill cycle to see if anything is leaking internally. Calcium deposits and rust may be evident around areas that have leaks.
    • 6 Use hose clamp pliers to remove any corroded spring clamps and replace them with new ones. Make sure the hose is still intact underneath the old clamp. If not, remove the internal hose and take it to an appliance repair center to find the correct replacement part.
Thanks.

My Kenmore 700 series washer has been leaking water. When the tub is filling with water, water seems to leak along the front bottom edge of the machine in several areas. I'm left with a huge puddle of...

First ck to see if your water pump is leaking. It normally leaks when the machine is running not just filling. Also look at all the attaching rubber hoses under the machine and see if water is leaking down the back right side of the machine and then running around the frame to the front long shot but possible.

Washer won't advance from cycle to cycle

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

* It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never
advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace
the timer.

* It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates,
drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washing machine makes buzzing noise

Check the water pump for an obstruction in the chamber area, your pump may be sticking and that will cause the buzzing sound. The water pump runs during the fill portion of the cycle on several of the selected wash cycles to recirculate the water.
