Plug lead order to plugs themselves

I removed the plug leads to clean the plugs and got cylinders 1,2 right but 3,4 i'm not sure of

Left coil feeds 1 and 4...right coil feeds 2 and 3...as long as you stick to this it doesn't matter which lead goes to which plug. Left coil will have one short lead and one long...short =1...long = 4. Right coil leads will be about even in length...doesn't matter which goes to 2 or 3.
It's a wasted spark system so plugs 1 and 4 fire together...2 and 3 fire together...only 1 cylinder in each pair will be compressed and ready to fire when the spark happens, the other will be empty and coming on to it's inlet stroke...

On any four cylinder engine the firing order is always 1-3-4-2. Cylinder 1 is at the front of the engine, the same end as the timing chain and the opposite end to the gearbox.

Remove the spark plugs and manually turn over the engine until the timing marks line up (down by the crankshaft pulley). You can use a socket on the crankshaft nut to turn the engine bit by bit, the purpose of removing the spark plugs is to prevent cylinder compression making it easier.

Once the timing mark has lined up, remove the distributor cap and observe the position of the rotor arm and briefly pop the distributor cap back on: the lead exiting the cap above the rotor arm should go to cylinder #1. The next quadrant that the rotor arm advances as you turn the engine over to will be the position that the lead for cylinder #3 attaches. By the same process you can then identify where the leads to cylinders #4 and #2 go.

When finished, ensure that the distributor cap is securely fastened and refit the spark plugs: if they're taper seat spark plugs (no washers) then when they just get tight then tighten no more than a further 1/6th of a turn. If they have washers then it's an extra 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn and a bit more if they're brand new plugs where the washers have never been compressed. Refit the leads in the correct order which you've just established and make sure that they're secure and you should be good to go unless there's another problem.

I'm needing a wiring diagram of the firing order for a 1992 Suzuki Sidekick 4 cylinder 16valve


The firing order is 1, 3, 4, 2. If all the leads have been pulled off the dizzy cap, you'll have to remove No 1 spark plug (leave it threaded into the plug hole by 1 turn) and the dizzy cap. Turn the motor over by hand in the clockwise direction and listen for air being forced out of the No 1 plug hole. When you start to hear that, it means you are approaching TDC on No 1 cylinder. Now look at the front crankshaft pulley and stop turning the engine when the mark on the pulley is close to the marks on the timing belt cover. It doesn't have to be exact (unless you've removed the dizzy). Now where the dizzy rotor is pointing is where No 1 lead has to be fitted. Observe the direction of rotation of the rotor and the next point it comes to will be where you fit No 3 lead; No 4 lead next; and finally No 2 lead.

Distributor cap and spark plug leads order/layout?


The firing order is 1342. The cylinders are numbered from left to right 1234. Depending on wether it is a 16 valve engine, the distributor cap lead number one position is at the front on the left, if its a normal 8 valve engine , the distributor cap lead number one is at the front pointing straight at the front. So, moving anti clockwise, the next lead will be number 3, then 4 , then 2.

Firing order


Hi and welcome to FixYa,

For and MC22, seated on the bike, the left hand ignition coil fires cylinders 1 & 4 while right hand ignition coil powers 2 & 3 cylinders.

Not starting after replacing plugs and leads


This type of distributorless ignition system uses a “waste spark” method of spark distribution. Each cylinder is paired with the cylinder that is opposite it (1-4 or 2-3). Look closely next to towers on coil pack assembly they are numbered.

Change spark plug wires on 04 kia sedona


REMOVAL OF THE PLUGS:

Do not attempt any maintenance on spark plug if engine is hot. 
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal. 
2. Carefully remove high-tension leads. 
3. Use compressed air to blow any dirt or debris from around spark plug hole. 
4. Check that spark plug fits squarely in spark plug socket and remove spark plug.

Raise a vehicle and install SST(OK552 131 001) in order to replace cylinder 2, 4, 6 spark plug. 

INSTALLATION:

1. Install spark plug into cylinder head.

Tightening torque : 18~22lb-ft (25~30N·m, 2.5~3.0kg-m)

2. Reconnect high-tension leads. 
3. Reconnect negative battery cable.

Spark plug order


If you are sitting on the bike, cylinder 1 is on your left then 2,3,4....looking at the coils, the left coil- left lead goes to no1cylinder. right lead goes to cylinder4. Right coil- left lead to cylinder 2, right lead to cylinder 3.
