Air wont blow thru front vents only thru defrost vents only AIR/HEAT BLOWS OUT OF DEFROST VENTS ONLY

    heat blows out of the defrost only theres a yellow vacum not attached and a black vacum line under the hood i cant find a spot to attach them

There is a flap in your heater box that is controled by your vent switch by your heater controls. listen for a vacuum leak. that is common and hopfully the problem. there is vacuum lines that control the vent door that redirects the air to your vents.

Has your dash been messed with recently? if so i would check there first. you should hear a hissing if thats the problem.

Otherwise these also are common for that door flap to break and not switch NE more. thats the only 2 things that i can think of off th wtop of my head to be the problem. this would require the whole dash to come apart if its this problem

It may be your vacuum lines. I had the same problem with my van. The heat from your engine causes the lines to break. To fix it I looked under the hood, and found where the lines had been. If you take the whoe air filter assembly off you will see them running over the engine. To fix I just put slightly biger tubes over the broken ends that fixed it. You can get tubing from your locl autozone.

Vents won't blow hot or cold air. Comes from defrost and feet when you put fan on.
It's the vent actuator, it moves the baffle that changes the direction of the air flow.
Here is a video of a broken vacuum hose that creates the same problem.

It could also be a failed actuator.

My heater and ac only blow through the defrost
the actuator to the defrost door is inop. try running the climate system thru all the modes ac heat defrost vent off etc, maybe it will begin operating . look for any vacuum leaks

My heater does not blow in floor in a dodgeram 1500
the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

2000 chevy astro cargo van. the heat registers on the gage but little comes out and only out defrost. thermostat????
If it is blowing hot air out of the defroster and not out of the heater vents then the door that directs the heat from the defroster isn't working properly it is blocking the heat from going to the heater vents. Also check the cold air door. It sounds like it isn't closing all the way to shut off the cold air and not letting the hot air pass.

Air blend doors do not work. Air blows from defroster vents
check or loss of vacuum to mode control switch in dash ac control. these are not blend doors, they are air flow control, a blend door controls the air temperature not where it comes out.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.
