Realistic Cardioid Dynamic mic (33-992A) mic plug wiring

I have an older Realistic Cardioid Dynamic mic, model #33-992A. It takes a 4 pin plug to hook it up. I have an extra 4 pin plug...but I need to know the pinout for it. I want to use it on my computer....so need to know the proper wiring for that. If I could wire it to a usb plug....so much the better...if not..then to the sound card would be ok, also. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You would need an audio pre-amp/ sound card and such as a M-BOX or a USB-Pre and you would need to find out what the 4th pin was for my guess it is a power suppily for a mic level pre-amp in the mic most new use pin 2 for "phantom" power

I think you would save time buy just buying a usb mircophone
ive seen them getting very low in price. you risk damaging your computer if you get the wiring wrong.

I have the same mic, the 4 pins are there because it only uses 2 at a time, and the plug can be switched around to pick up high frequencies or low frequencies better thats why it has a red dot on the plug and has a red H and a black L on the mic itself

its a 5 pin which all radshack radios are and they are all,99% anyway, wired the same . So take an old radshak mic apart at the plug and see how it is wired then experiment from there.

What is the wiring diagram for realistic 211173 mic to cobra 25ltd

first,a realistic plug is a 5 pin D.I.N. type and a cobra 25 is a 4 pin screw on . If you are trying to save $$ by using an old mic then let me say that you can get them prewired real cheap.

Six wire mic to a trc 495

Realistic radio mics are all , except for a few , wired the same. All you have to do is look up the wiring for the realistic 5 pin din plug . One of those wires in the mic is not going to be used the thing is which one . Connect the wires as they are mentioned in the diagram then if it doesn't work connect the last wire.

I need to know what colers go where on the mic pin for a trc 447 thank you

I don't know which mic you're trying to wire to this radio. The colors of the wires in the mic cable may change from one mic to another, so relying on the color is not reliable. Usually you refer to these connections as Pin1 to a Signal or Function; or Jack Pin1 to Plug Pin3. No one assumes a color will always be used to connect Pin1 to TX (transmit).

With that said, I found an answer on FixYa from someone that answered the question some time ago like this:

HERE IT IS THE CORRECT MIC WIRING FOR THE REALISTIC TRC 447.

1.)Audio
2.)RX
3.)TX
4.)CH.Down / Shorted to Ground
5.)Ground
6.)Ch.Up / Shorted to Pin 4

Be extremely careful when wiring this radio! pin 4 and pin 6 carry voltage shorting these to the wrong place can result in serious damage to your radio.

Lastly, since I doubt what was provided above is going to help you very much - you can review all the info ever printed by Realistic on your radio, here. There's a wealth of info on this page and you should be able to find what you're looking for in it. You're looking to find the pinouts of the radio to the pinouts of the mic.

If you ever have to disconnect a multiconductor cable from a connector, and you don't have the time or means to write the colors down, it is better to simply cut the cable - leaving all the colored insulation of wire ends soldered / still secured to the connector. When you are ready to do the replacement of the connector or cable, you've got the wiring order in place still, and can make the new connections one at a time at your leisure.

Good luck!
