Thanks fjbrutus. It was the fuse--and your directions were dead on.!
Now, my spin cycle won't work and I smell something burnt like a short when i try spin--and it just hums but does not spin.
This could be a real simple fix. 1) Disconnect from power. 2) Take off the front panel by removing two screws near the base. 3) On the left side halfway up is a fuse that may be blown. Replace the fuse.
This worked for me when I had the exact same symptoms. Good luck.
Is the valve to machine open, the in-take pipe that is. Check by disconnecting the machine from this in-take source in your wall, see if water is in good pressure, it should be. While you are at it check to see if there are any debris clogging the fine net in machine & in-take pipes, clean out & refit carefully.

Hi deppgirl,
I checked the lint filter at the front bottom left hand side and it was full of junk. Once emptied it worked a treat. Pull the flap down and turn the large knob anti-clockwise and pull to remove. Good luck.

There's an auxiliary switch in the door lock.switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. The machine will NEVER advance to the spin cycle unless the auxiliary switch is activated as a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during a high-speed spin cycle that may result in physical injury. The drum tumbles back and forth while the machine control checks the auxiliary if activated but since it's not, the control will not command the motor speed control to spin the drum at high speed. These symptoms may indicate a faulty door lock/switch assembly and may need replacement. I had this same problem. I replaced the computer and the relay boards without luck. I found it was the FILL VALVES! Apparently when the washer changes cycles it expects water to fill the tub to a certain level. If the valves are not opening and water not filling the tub will cause the computer to just wait and wait and wait and wont advance to the next cycle.

no water goes into the machine, if i put it on spin it goes into the spin cycle but the water won"t fill the tub. I checked the water intake valves, hoses, and filter-screens (I cleaned them). I suspect some knob/switch connection not engaging when I open the knob-switch for water; and again, the spin works.
