Question about Polaroid i735 Digital Camera

1 Answer

USB Error My computer will not recognize my usb device that came with my camera. I also tried with another usb device from a different camera (same model) and it still did not work. My camera has the message USB error and my computer generates the message: 'USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it'. I received the same message with both USB cables. I thought that I may need to install the drivers for my camera, but my computer does not need the drivers loaded b/c of the OS. I have no idea why this is not working.

I was able to connect my Polaroid i735 to my computer before, but now when I plug in my camera and turn it on, it says "connecting..."for about 5 seconds then says, "USB error."

Are you turning the camera on after you plug it in to your computer? You should do that with all your USB devices. Let me know if that helps. Feel free to rate my answer.

Usb device not recognized

Assuming a healthy camera battery, capable of holding a charge - try another cable / USB port / Computer first.

When it's same on all USB ports and a different computer, wiggle the USB connector on the camera carefully. If the connection is ok at some point, it's the camera USB port making bad connection.

USB device not recognized

Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-do-i-download-photos-or-pictures.html
