Question about Canon MultiPASS F50 All-In-One InkJet Printer

While printing photos my printer has white vertical lines

I have a canon F50 multipass and when i went to print a picture it made white vertical lines evenly spaced on the picture . also the color was weak. funny part of it is that it will print text and numbers perfectly without the white lines. i confess i did try a officemax repalcement ink but now have original ink in it from canon.

    Hi. I have a Canon ImagePROGRAF 605 and recently it has started printing 'white lines' vertically down the sheet. ie it is missing the ink out to form lines about 0.5mm wide at 40mm spacings all the way down my plans. It's very annoying. Can you tell me how to fix it please?

Sounds like you need to re-align the print cartridge . The reason the text comes out ok is probably because it is only using the black cartridge for text. The color cartridge is the one that's out of alignment. You may have some sort of Cannon utility running in the task bar that will allow you to easily allign the print cartridges. If not, go to the main "Printers and Faxes" window, RIGHT-click on the printer and select "Properties". You should be able to find a button in the properties that's labeled something like re-align print cartridges. It will print out a series of test pages and ask you to select the set of lines that looks the straightest and type it in. It's a good idea to do this every time you replace a cartrige. Hope this helps, If I was able to FixYa, please remember to rate me. Thanks.

Some lines are blurred, Some lines are printed larger, Some lines

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Wrong cartridge messsage

Hi, Please follow :
1. Reseat F30 / F50 print head 2. The Print Head may need replacing - F50 3. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 4. The F50 may require repair

You can see exactly how to perform these steps with pictures at this link

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=6324

Go to this link if you are unable to find the"Wrong Catridge" link
then you need to type "wrong cartridge " in the small search box on the website.
If the website asks you to select
"Category.=Multifunction"
"Product Type =Inkjet"
"Model= Multipass F50"

Cheers

Canon Multipass MP700

When trying to print color documents or photos using our Canon MultiPASS 700, the photo or document will have stripes all the way through it. It has also developed a problem of having fine lines that do not print when we are printing a black and white document.
