I have a Acer TravelMate6292-301G16Mn. Recently, when I tried to power up the laptop, the Power On indicator light, lighted up for a second and then it died. The laptop could not be power up neither by connecting to the power supply and using only the battery. Can anyone help ? Thank you.

Hi there! this is a possible power supply problem or the power button from the laptop is faulty.. But first I suggest that you use a different working power adapter that is same power supply for your laptop and try to remove the battery and try to clean the contact point of your batter, to further isolate the problem, if you did this troubleshooting and still doing the same thing I suggest that you bring ur laptop to acer for check up and repair of the power supply system of the laptop, if your laptop still under warranty, bring it to the service center right away.. if not then u can try doing the troubleshooting..
Try removing the power supply (from the wall) and the battery pack. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the mains power (from the wall) back in and then press the power button. It should work. Then you can replace your battery pack. Don't know why it works but it has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
