Question about Food Processors
My food processor will not power on for either side. What could be wrong? It is practically brand new, only used a few times.
I decided to trash my 19 year old GE Food Processor that needs a new gasget and puchase another.
Thanks for your interest.

not sure what type you have. some have a tab/tang on the lid that when turned locks into side of processor. this is a safety switch. check lid for this. hope this helps. if not return for an exchange.

Testimonial: "Thanks, that was it... the top piece packed backwords, when I reassembled it properly, it worked."
since I did not get a response from fix it and could not find a local repair store from fix it I called Waring the manufacturer and was told the motor will not work as a safety precauition until the top is locked in once I did that it worked fine.
If you had responded to me in anyway except to sign up and pay for your service I would have signed up now I am just annoyed .

Make sure that the cup is inserted properly and that it activates the switch...
Also make sure there is no debris in there that could block it from going in the whole way... it is very sensitive...
If that is not the problem, then return the unit... it has at least a 1 year warranty on it from the manufacturer..
