Every so often my gateway laptop wireless connection stops. I have to reboot the system to regain the connection.
Get online
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Gateway
Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the Network drivers.
If
the above does not solve the problem, try this: Turn the laptop off,
remove the power cord, remove the battery, then remove the cover that
houses the wireless on the bottom of the laptop. Remove the two antenna
wires from the wireless card (make sure you remember which one goes
where), remove the wireless card from the slot (you might have to remove
1 or 2 screws that hold it in place. After 20 seconds but it all back together and reboot the computer.

I have the same problem with my Gateway Laptop. It just looses it's connection and the only way to get it back is to reboot the laptop. I know it is not the wireless router or modem because others at my house use laptops with the same router and modem and NEVER has this problem. Gateway won't help because it is over one year old. I sure could use an answer.... Wally [email protected]
