I purchased a ilo tv 2yrs ago and the remote stopped working. I can't find a universal remote that has a code for this tv. I don't want to chuck it so if there's anyone out there with any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you know of a code for the universal remote I would also appreciate that.

It is very difficut to get a substitute remote control for your ILO TV. Anyway try these codes with your present remote control. These codes are with AT&T U-verse remote for ILO TV. The codes are:
1412, 1435, 1436
If these codes does not work with your ILO TV, buy one AT&T U-VERSE remote control. It will match for it. OK.
Be sure that the TV code is correctly program on the remote control, you can find other brand of universal remote control but before buying be sure your TV brand is included there. I hope I help you friend.
Durabrand codes are very difficult to find, only few codes are public, as this manufacturer is not listed on universal remotes user manuals. You can find few codes on discussion groups, often they do not work. The requests usually stay unanswered:
I have a ILO 27" TV Comcast had no suggestions for programming their remote. I went thru the ENTIRE code book and finally came up with one that worked: Emerson Code #0463 for my COMCAST universal remote.
I had the same problem trying to program my satellite remote to work with the ILO tv. I found that the emerson codes DO work. Yes local cable remotes will work as long as you have the code and the brand is getting more popular. The code that worked with both cable companys, Charter and DirecTv was 10171 I believe. You can find it under the Emerson codes. Hope this was helpful.
Some more suggestions to see if your remote control has just lost it's programming is try unplugging your television and taking the batteries out of the remote control for atleast 5 minutes. If this doesn't work, or you've tried tvtek's advice up top and you still can't get your remote control to work, I would try ordering a original replacement remote control for your specific television. I would not recommend purchasing a universal remote, because half the time the problem with it not working could just be caused by it using the incorrect code. If you go to a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their site for the exact model number of your television and purchase that remote control than you'll have a good idea if it's the remote or the television. Most likely you'll find it was the remote control!
