SOURCE: Freezer is producing"snow" and freezer burning everything

AFTER A DEFROST,HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT THE DOOR RUBBER. IT MUST BE 100% SEALED FOR A FREEZER. (SHOULD ALSO HEAR A SLIGHT VACUME WHEN DOOR IS SHUT WHEN UP NTO TEMP).ALSO MAKE SURE MOTOR IS SWITCHING OFF AT +/- 20C (TEMP).IF ALLOWED TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY TEMP WILL PULL DOWN TO CREATE EXCESS FROST.

SOURCE: ice forming in freezer refrigerator not getting cold

Replace your heater and thermostat behind the back wall of the freezer. the air will not flow from the freezer to the fridge because of all the forming ice. Also replace the defrost timer. take your model number into a local parts store and they can get you the parts. This is very common!!!!! But pretty easy to do.

SOURCE: I have a 3 year old GE side by side that isn't cold.

Sounds like a defrost problem or an evaporator fan problem . I would suggest you have a professional check it for you to find the problem and then do the repair yourself . If the fan isn't working , probably a main control board problem and not the actual fan ,which is costly . Also , possible thermistor problem which takes experience to diagnose . Buying parts without knowing which is bad can be realy costly on GE refrigerators .

SOURCE: Ice despencer opening keeps freezing and wont dispence

you have a bad door seal. replacement is better than repair. warm moist air is getting in and the condensation is freezing.

SOURCE: my Samsung side-by-side two door RS2530BWP

you will need to use a blow dryer and defrost the back wall.Once that is defrosted then you will need to remove the back panel and defrost the evaporator coil.

There are several things that can go wrong the temp thermostat, defrost thermostat, defrost heater,or control board.you will also need to check the evap fan and make sure it is working.

WHY IS FREEZER COOLING BUT REFRIGERATOR IS NOT?

Look for ice build up on the back of the freezer panel. if there is ice or snow the defrost system has failed. if there is no ice then it could be a fan that has failed. Worst case is an inneffiecient compressor.

How do I defrost my frozen freezer?

the defrost circuitry is not defrosting the unit due to a defectice defrost heater, thermostat or adc control, shut it off and let it defrost manually or use a hand held hair dryer to assist in the manual defrost, then remove the inside back wall cover in the freezer in there you will find the defrost heater and thermostat, have towels handy as when you manually defrost it you will have a lot of drainage and the catch pan in the back that catches this water will most likely overflow

Hi fridge was not staying cold so i looked at the coils in the freezer and they were cover with snow(ice), I melted the snow and ice and it worked good for almost 2 weeks then started getting warm again...

Its definatly a defrost problem. The reason it stopped cooling is because there was no air circulation do to the ice build up. For the most part the part you'll need t replace is called an adaptive defrost control, the part number for it is 12002104. This part is located in the refrigerator side of the machine, above the heading so you'll be taking the hole top down to put it in. Take your time and it won't be hard.

Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running. It blows cold air into the fridge side through a damper in the wall between the freezer and fridge. Make sure the damper is open.

Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).
