Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV350 Digital Camcorder
I want to be able to transfer my Hi-8 video to a file on my computer and then transfer the file to my external hard drive for safe keeping. I am running windows Vista and I do not have any of the software that was provided to me when I bought the camer 5 yrs ago. Is this something I can do?
i have sony 700x digital200m optical 20x dcr-trv350 ntsc handycam , kindly let me know if device av cordless ir receiver ift-r20 can be used with my above mentioned camera

you use the Sony Digital Handycam DCR-TRV350 then you may want to
download your videos you've captured to your computer. Is this what
you mean with your problem right?
you downloaded your video, you will be able to use the videos on your
computer.. If you want to download the videos you need to use the USB
cable and installation disc that came with your camera. This is how
to do it:
Insert the HandyCam software disc that came with your device. Select
"HandyCam" then "USB Driver" when the wizard
appears. Install the camcorder's drivers. Repeat this step with each
piece of software on the disc. Each program needs to be installed
Connect your camcorder to your computer via USB. The driver
configuration wizard will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions
to finalize setup.
Click "Start," then "My Computer." Double-click
the camcorder from the list of peripherals. From here, you can
download all available data on the camcorder to your computer.
