Question about Canon imageCLASS MF6530 Monochrome Laser Copier/Printer
I've cleared the paper jam and closed the left side panel. The error message won't correct. I've rebooted it, checked the paper tray to make sure there is nothing there and can't resolve the issue. Help please?

Here is the Xerox support page for your printer. It even has a movie on removing paper jams.

Hello! I have solved your problem! The first thing you need to do is extend the back paper holder all the way up. This should uncover a long rectangular hole. There is a plastic piece with 2 arrows pointing to the right on it (if you are looking at the back straight on). Simply push them to the Right and it will pop up on the Left side. You can now lift that piece out and VOILA there is your misfed paper! Just reinsert the rectangular piece back in after you have taken the misfed paper out! -Gary Maples

a very usual problem steve. try removing power to the printer and let it stay idle without power for abt 20-30 minutes and then try again.this should clear the error message from the memory.

Carefully remove the jammed photo paper. Gently pull the paper up and out of the paper feeder tray.
Reload the paper into the tray. Stack the paper on a flat surface and then carefully slide the paper stack straight into the paper feeder tray---along and aligned with the right side of the tray. Secure the stack in place by sliding the left "edge guide" against the paper stack.
Press the "OK" button to resume printing. If you had a "Paper is jammed in the printer..." error message displayed on the control panel LCD, pressing "OK" should also clear the message.
Pull the paper from the printer, if the status message reappears and/or the printer doesn't print, and check the paper for folds, buckling and curled edges or corners. Also check the sheets for sticking. If any of your sheets stick or have damage, remove them from your photo paper stack and replace with new sheets. Reload the paper and press "OK" to try again.
