Do you mean the HP Envy 120 e-All-in-One printer? The drivers and full software for the printer are available from the HP support site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5203211& . Select your OS and click Next. To download the software, expand the Driver - Product Installation Software. For best results get the Full Software package instead of the Basic driver. To order a replacement installation disc, expand the section labeled Order Physical Media.
Hi
The factory installed drivers and applications can be re-installed by using Acer eRecovery by following these steps:
1.Click Start, and then All Programs 2.Click Acer, and then Acer eRecovery Management 3.You may be prompted to enter or create a password. This password will be required to use eRecovery in the future. 4.In the next window on the left toolbar, select Restore. 5.Choose Reinstall Drivers or Applications 6.Choose Contents 7.Choose the driver or application you wish to install 8.On the right, click the Install link and follow the prompts. 9.The computer may restart when installation is complete. If it does not restart, manually shutdown and restart the computer. Note: For older Acer products, the Acer eRecovery Management program may not be available.
If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media, they may be purchased from our Acer Recovery Media Order Form. Please take time to rate me
This PC has a DVD drive. Get an installation disc of the operating system you wish to re-start with - say Windows 7. Insert the disk and restart the computer. The installation process will ask you if you wish to format the C: partition (i.e. delete everything on it) before installation. Agree to that and proceed with the installation as directed.
After the installation: Thinkpad also has specific programs and drivers that help run this model - you can download and install these additional drivers from the Lenovo website online. Search for support / downloads for your specific model and you will find a list of downloadable software. Choose the latest version of each software.
Gateway Direct systems went "media-less" back in September 2004. In the event of a system crash users could either 1) restore their systems from the Recovery Partition OR 2) from the backup media that they were prompted to create on first power-up -- which would provide them with up to 5 blank CD-R discs depending on their system's configuration.
On the factory load of the hard drive, the recovery partition will not contain operating system files. It only contains application and driver files. The first time the recovery partition is used, it prompts the user to insert their System Recovery CD/DVD to copy files from the CD to the recovery partition. The Drivers and Applications CD is not bootable and does not contain Operating System files. The System Recovery CD/DVD is bootable but does not contain any application or driver files. If the end-user erases the hard drive and restores the computer using the System Recovery CD/DVD and an Applications and Drivers CD, the recovery partition is not recreated.
This means that you will need the operating system restore disc FIRST then the recovery partition will work for you
The Optiplex series of systems have no restore partition to re-image the system. If you want to have a clean start, you will need to do a clean install of Windows, load the drivers and applications.
Drivers can be downloaded from Support.dell.com but you will need the media for Windows and any applications.
Drivers for Acer products may be found on the Acer support page ( http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/ ). Search for the product and download the drivers.
Alternatively, the factory installed drivers and applications can be re-installed by using Acer eRecovery.
Follow these steps:
Press ALT and F10 to start Acer eRecovery.
Please note: It will be prompt to enter or create a password. This
password will be required to use eRecovery in the future. Forgetting
this password will require the use of the recovery discs to reformat
the system.
In the next window, select Restore or Recovery. This will vary from system to system.
Choose Reinstall Applications/Drivers
Choose Install
Click on Windows on the left side of the page.
Choose driver or applications.
Choose the item to install
On the right, click the install link and follow the prompts.
The system may restart when installation is complete. If it does not restart, manually shutdown and restart the computer.
If a set of recovery
discs was created, or received when the system was purchased, the
factory installed drivers and applications may be reinstalled from that
media as well. Start the computer and insert the System CD (or the
first disc) and browse the disc and choose which item to install.
If you want to completely erase all data on your hard drive, and start with a fresh installation of Windows, the process is pretty simple. Boot to you Windows Media Disc, delete the existing Windows Partition (Normally the 1st NTFS partition) then create a new NTFS partition, format it, then install WIndows to that partition. After the Windows installation completes, then install the drivers (Normally in this order:) Desktop system Software (Dell Specific) Chipset Video Audio Modem Network Wireless (If Equipped) Touchpad (If Equipped) Card reader (If Equipped)
