Question about Brother MultiFunction Center MFC-440CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a Brother HL-2170W printer that does not connect with the Netgear router wirelessly. The wired connection is OK. Brother service support tells me the printer is not receiving the IP address from the router. I know this is so because the printer settings page from the printer "say", Failed to Associate and the IP address, and all the other addresses on the settings sheet, are 0.0.0.0. Any suggestions on how to get the 2 to talk to each other?
Had the same issue. Change the router wireless security settings from TKIP to AES algorithms. This did the trick for me.

Deactivate MAC filtering on your router. The printer has different MAC addresses for both wired and wireless connections. So if you put the (wrong) wired MAC address to your router, it cannot connect.
After successful connection (with deactivated MAC filtering) you can see the correct wireless MAC address in your Router settings. Just add THIS to the MAC filter range and you're done!
