Question about Canon MP610 Photo All-In-One Printer
Not much to go on, but in printer properties, in ports tab, you'll see an option (second last) called 'enable bidirectional support'. Make sure it's ticked.

My problem was with my Canon MP210 after upgrading my 64 bit Toshiba laptop from Vista to Windows 7. Getting that same message during each print attempt. It appears that the driver Vista and Window 7 32 bit machines are the same
so when I installed the printer after upgrading it used the
same driver I had before in Vista.
64 bit systems seem to need a different driver so thats what these instructions are for. First uninstall the current driver and NOT to do it from the Control Panel since it wouldn't remove everything. Here are the steps I used:
UNINSTALL CURRENT DRIVER
Hope this helps!
