Can,t get on the internet or listen to any music!

I changed the harddrive for a new 400GB loaded my os XPPro & service pack 2 combined disk that came with my computer & every thing seemed fine until i tried to connect to the i-net & then tried to play some music & thats when i found the problem of no sound & no i-net. So frantic now to find my support CD with all my drivers & after turning the house upside-down,thay seem to have vanished.
So if you can help me by sending me the 1GBIT Marvel Yukon controller/drivers to this machine of my sons so i can load it on a flash drive stick & then run it on my computer.
My Motherboard is a ASUS P5GDC-V, & as soon as i am on-line i will connect to your site for an update of all my drivers, thank you mark sewell. phone No.07849 922354... E-Mail: marksewell1958@hotmail.co.uk p.s. "very slow one finger typist"

Hiii, to download the driver for your ASUS motherboard, please visit this website i.e. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Here, you just specify your requirement or scan your pc for driver as a new user. After downloading the driver you just install it one by one and after single installation please reboot your computer.

Upgraded motherboard and windows 7 in restore during startup

If you put in a hard drive that already had an OS on it and such, it won't work since the new computer has different parts from the last. You will have to buy Windows 7, or obtain windows through some method of your choice and do a clean install. Sorry buddy.

Intel DQ965GF Motherboard won't load WIN OS (WINXPPro volume disk or Win7) tho an old Dell disk did load. Is there a fix? Thz

Hello here is the homepage:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+965+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+DQ965GF

Windows 7 is not a supported system, but you can use the drivers from the vista system, but only the 32 bit.

Turn on or restart your computer and watch for a message during the post about a particular key, usually Del or F2, that you'll need to press to ...enter SETUP. Press this key as soon as you see the message.

After the post, BIOS will attempt to boot from the first device listed in the boot order. You need to change that, so the first boot device in the list is the dvd drive. If that device is not bootable, BIOS will attempt to boot from the second device listed, and so on.

Note: The boot order is a BIOS setting so it's OS independent. In other words, it doesn't matter if you have Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Linux, or any other PC operating system on your hard drive or other bootable device, these boot sequence change instructions will still apply.

Here is how you do this:

http://www.hiren.info/pages/bios-boot-cdrom

But ofcourse there could be a problem with the dvd drive or harddrive.

To install windows 7, you will need at least 1 gb ram or more, and a dual core cpu.

Best of luck

I suspect the harddrive interface is not working correctly on my Intel D101GGC motherboard as the harddrive failed, and the replacement drive will not allow me to load the OS on it. What is the best...

What do you mean it won't allow you to load the OS on it? Have you connected an IDE drive or a SATA drive? If it's an IDE drive, make sure the jumper setting is either Master, or Cable select, and make sure the BIOS recognizes it.

I have a pc with 750 MB RAM,P-IV,60 gb Hard Disk and D101GGC MotherBoard. My problem is I can't load WinXp Service Pack 2 to my computer, but win xp is loaded. Without Service pack Sound driver is also not...

How much free space is left on the hard drive? You may not have enough space to load up xp sp2. check that first and also go to microsoft.com and check for system requirements to see if yours is compatible, microsoft can analyze your computer to see if it can or can not run.

Motherboard upgrade??

Dear kaname,

Your computer can support Windows XP, which has better hardware support and compatibility with the 2003 Office suit. XP also updates your hardware automatically once you are on the internet. You might want to try this.

Keep in mind that the older the Operating System, the harder it is for Office suites to compat. Newer Operating systems have better support for your computing. If you don't have HDD problems, the BIOS should not prevent you from loading SP2 for Win2000.

Conclusion:

1. The SP2 Source Disk may have a problem
2. The Win 2000 you have already loaded may be missing components, preventing the SP2 to load.
2. Notton Antivirus versions and the 2003 office both reject Win 2000. They just don't like it; it's getting too old.

Get with it, Kaname!!!!

Extreme slow performance, cpu performance maxed out

Boot to safe mode and see if the problem is the same.
Have you checked for viruses and spyware?
Look in Control Panel/Admin Tools/Event Viewer, System and Application for red marks.
Do you have a temp monitor installed?
Have you changed anything in the BIOS? Set to safe defaults.
