Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P32 won't connect to computer

Problem with Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P32 Digital Camera- computer can't find it. Changed usb cable-nothing, tried all my photo programs-nothing. Switched from Mac to PC connected-nothing. Something's wrong with the camera.

I think you have a wrong setting, go into the menu and go through it and it says USB connect or something to do with PAL/NTSB i don't have one in my hand.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.

How do I set my clock on my Sony cameras DSC-p32

setting date and time on sony p32: 1)set the mode selector to photo mode
2)press power button to turn on the camera
3)select the desired date format and press ok/set button.

Device not found

USB cable can be defected and try new/ extra USB cable.
One more thing, USB connector on cybershot can be damaged too.

try resetting the camera once ... remove the batteries and press the power button for few seconds and put ur batteries back !!

It sounds like you have the Mode switch set to the Movie position instead of the Record position. The Mode switch should be set as show on the following image:
