Question about Fujitsu LifeBookS6120 Notebook

Cant seem to get the right hard drive to fit fujitsu lifebook s6120d, none commect to the orange hd connector or am I missing a part?. BoB. Have got the caddy and orange plastic connector (circuit ) just cant find part no anywhere all I can seem to find is.info..Fixed hard drive ultra DMA 100, 2.5." 9.5 mm, Thats as far as I can get and as for buying or part no seems impossible. Pease help if you can. Thanks BOB.

There are pretty much only two types. ide and sata. Examine the old hard drive carefully, usually they have an extra connector connected. Take the old one off the old hard drive and swap it. If you can take a pictures and load it up to photobucket or something. That would help.

Fujitsu LifeBook S710 hard drive cable


Has the Laptop been opened before? Usually a Laptop HDD just plugs into the connection, there are no cable connection connected directly to the HDD? The HDD may be Bad/Failed , remove and test.

Make sure that the HDD connector are connected properly.
The power connection are OK? Set the BIOS as default and check.

check the BIOS...
check the boot sequence in bios...
may be it's not set to boot from HD....
pls let me know if u can make changes in BIOS and can set HDD booting...
i will explain how to do it if u need...
have u formated and reinstalled windows...?

You can use any 2.5 hdd that has the same interface as your 40gb. Shop around as the prices vary from store to store. Hope this helps.

How to remove hard drive from Fujitsu Lifebook N3010 PC laptop


Remove the DVD drive, and then there are 4 outer screws holding the hard drive chassis in place. There are also 4 inner screws that hold the hard drive to the removable hard drive chassis, those do not have to be removed to remove the hard drive from the computer. Carefully remove the screws so they don't fall into the holes on the sides of the screws, and then slide the hard drive out of the pin slots.
