I cannt instal any jar n jad file because on scrine display show download unsurported file

If you are running Windows or MacOS, you will not be able to run those types of files. They are only supported by Unix/Linux. Try looking for a different version of the file to download.

Can i burn cd on sco unix host version

Yes.

You can use burncd or cdrecord. The source files may be downloaded from SCO's site and compiled:

ftp://ftp2.sco.com/pub/skunkware/osr5/fileutil/cdrecord/

Good luck!

How to check the content of two files are same or not

If you want to verify two files are the same, there is a thing called a Checksum. These are used to verify data is copied correctly by identity of a number string. If the number is different on the receiving party then the file was changed either intentionally or accidentally in the process of copying. There are different programs on the internet you could use any one to run a checksum or "hash check" of the file you are comparing..

UNIX suitable for biginers

I would like to humbly state, if you are completely new to Unix it may be in your advantage to start with a flavor of Linux.

Poseidon Linux is specifically geared towards the scientific community, and contains many applications and tools centered around those needs.

Here's a download link for Poseidon in English:
http://poseidon.linuxfreedom.com/

Scientific Linux, which is geared towards your ambitions is based of the Red Hat Distribution, which allows for easy installation via "Red Hat Package Management" or RPM.

Here's a link to Scientific Linux:
https://www.scientificlinux.org/

Should you feel that a true Unix experience is required, the choice of Unix would be up to you. The reason why you would have to choose a Distribution on your own is because mostly all Flavors of Unix do not come with mission-specific applications installed.

You can get Unix in both Open (Free) or Licensed.
Try this link for different flavors:

Hope this information has been helpful.

How can I create .jar file using jarmaker s/w.... (shahsani@ymail.com)

hi

Question How do I create a .JAR file?
Answer Java Archive (JAR) files allow developers to package many classes into a single file. JAR files also use compression, so this can make applets and applications smaller.
Creating a .JAR file is easy. Simple go to the directory your classes are stored in and type :-
jar -cf myfile.jar *.class If your application or applet uses packages, then you'll need to do things a little differently. Suppose your classes were in the package mycode.games.CoolGame - you'd change to the directory above mycode and type the following :- (Remember to use / on UNIX systems)
jar -cf myfile.jar .\mycode\games\CoolGame\*.class Now, if you have an existing JAR file, and want to extract it, you'd type the following
jar -xf myfile.jar Working with JAR files isn't that difficult, especially if you've used the unix 'tar' command before. If you're planning on packaging an applet for Internet Explorer, or an application for Microsoft's jview, you might also want to consider .CAB files.
'); document.write (''); document.write ('showle?'); //-->
hop i was helpfull good luck

Unix

Improving UNIX server performance NOTES.INI settings Most NOTES.INI settings that affect IBM® Lotus® Domino® server performance apply to all UNIX® platforms.
NSF_Buffer_Pool_Size_MB Many machines that run UNIX have very large amounts of physical RAM. Use the parameters NSF_Buffer_Pool_Size_MB or PercentSysAvailable Resources to control how much memory Domino is allowed to use. Each Domino instance on a UNIX machine can reference a maximum of 4GB of RAM.
Disk and memory requirements When a UNIX system runs Domino server software, the server must have enough disk space for program and data files and enough memory to handle swapping and the number of processes. You can also change several system parameters to improve server performance.
Disk I/O tuning Maintaining multiple file systems for operating system files, swap space, transaction logs, and data improves overall server performance.
Use RAID 0+1 hardware for the disk drives on which the data files reside. Use multiple smaller disk drives instead of a few large disk drives for Domino data. Domino does not perform simple predictable sequential reads; therefore, disable Read Ahead Cache and enable Write Cache.
Keeping swap space on its own separate striped volumes improves server performance at high loads. The transaction logs should always be on the most reliable and highest performing disk subsystem available to the system hosting the Domino server. Transaction logging must be on its own disk drives for improved server restart time, reliability, and availability. The logged transactions are written to disk as fast serial writes to a sequential file that is of configurable size in 4K blocks.
Console and database logging To improve server performance, limit the amount of information that is logged to the log file (LOG.NSF) and the console.

What is the difference between unix and linux

UNIX is a operating system which has only command user interface, and if the unix is installed in the system you cant install any other operating system after that ... one separate system must be allocated for the unix ...

LINUX is the graphical user interface and it supports multiple operating system ..

UNIX and LINUX are almost same, almost all commands which supports in UNIX supports in LINUX too .. with some extended features just like GUI(GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE),SECURITY,MULTI USER,MULTI TASKING,etc

COMMAND USER INTERFACE - the input is made to the computer by using commands and the output is obtained by command or by printer ...

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE- the input is provided to the computer through the other input devices like mouse, joystick etc
the input is provided either by command or by the just clicking the mouse on the particular icon ...

example for graphical user interface is windows,Macintosh etc ...
