Re: Second Rinse Switch Broken
It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

the lid switch may be loose or broken it happens to me it was washing but never rinse i found out that it was a loose switch this switch prevents the rinse cycle from working with the lid open because of the high speed rinse ,some machines dont work at all, a loose switch makes the machine think the lid is open even if it is closed.good luck.
In order for the high speed spinning (rinse) cycle to begin, the lid must be shut. If your unit is top load, the problem is more likely the lid switch. or the tab on the lid that activates the switch is broken. If the tab is OK, disconnect unit from power outlet, remove back panel and trace the two wires going to the switch, once located, use a piece of wire to jump the two together, reconnect unit to power outlet and set the knob to rinse cycle, if unit works, replace switch.
Good Luck!!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.
make sure first it isn't the lid switch. As the lid closes, a pin in the lid usually pokes into a panel/hole and closes the switch. If the switch has been smashed by an unbalanced load, it often cannot let the machine spin for safety. If you cannot tell if the switch was damaged, remove the case. You'll likely see broken plastic on switch lever.
