If manual is not correct: Other folks have asked for DT300 manual, but didn't like provided manual. Timers can have many different numbers, and different timers can go by same number: 1) Add a comment with link to in-focus photo of timer posted on Flickr, for possible identification. 2) Open following link to help identify timer: http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html
There are 2 things you try. go into menu to picture setup scroll down to sharpness, back this setting all the off. If this doesn't do it, go to back of the set on right hand side, if you can see focus slot adjust it slightly.
The magic focus function is to electronically align the red, green and blue beams. So all it can cure is colored ghosts. The contrast, brightness and sharpness adjustments are in the customer menu settings. With the remote just push menu and select video or picture adjustments. Those adjustments are in there.
no it is not hopeless! if you want to do this procedure I can help you adjust the main screen focus inside the television on the FLYBACK TRANSFORMER but you will need to take it apart unless there are access holes in the back for the adjustment.
At the rear of the tv there may be two controls on the right hand side marked "screen" and "focus".If the set is newer, you will have to remove the cover and look to your right. You will see a dark object with a black or red wire coming out of it's top. That is your flyback transformer. On this you will find these two controls.Adjust your focus with the one so marked.Be careful to only adjust this control while you watch your picture clear.PROMPLY put the cover back.
On the back of the set, look for 2 controls labeled focus and screen. If the TV is working but you cannot see the picture, try turning the screen control up little by little and the brightness should come back. If this works then make sure the focus control is set so that the picture is nice and sharp.
did u try adjusting the focus knob in the flyback transformer? this device is connected to the anode of the picture tube which produces the high voltage so be very careful of adjusting it. dont touch the wire linking to the tube. thats approximately more than 21,ooo volts dc! good luck!
