Question about PANDIGITAL 8.0" Digital Photo Frame (PAN802)

All my photos will not display

Hi!

My 128 MB pandigital will only take 117MB and then when it displays the photos, it only shows half of them. Can you please tell me what I can do to fix this?

Thanks so much!

They were all put through with a USB cord right off the computer. I have some scanned pictures and then regular digital ones but they all came from the computer. There is no rhyme or reason as to which ones are displayed except the fact they are the same ones over and over again.

Thank you for any info you can give me.

Also...Rob, I am confused as to whether or not it will show more photos if I have both the internal memory full of pics and then add a memory stick or card on top of that. This thing is pretty frustrating and the User guide does not explain things too well.

Just to let you know too, I copied the pictures into a folder in the drive. I put as many as I could until it said the disk was full. Did I do too many?

Another clarification: Are your missing pictures stored in the internal memory, or some of them on an SD card or memory stick?

Hi Cathy. I would like to help you but I need some more information please.

Are the pictures you're displaying all taken with a camera you have, or were some of them from a different source?

Hi cathy, First of all the memory storage what it shows of 117 mb is usual problem. its buffer storage which keeps consuming away the useful storage capacity. take out your card, fix it to a card reader,it works as a flash drive then. and then defrag your card once,it will defrag all the space and will increase your card storage. Now about the pictures, see their are different formats and extensions of the pics, like gif, png, jpeg. Now may be your cam doesnt support the format of the foreign object what you copied from comp. And also the pictures have diferent aspect ratios and Resolutions like 640x480 or 800x600 or lower or higher. Now the highest resolution that your camera has.,ay be lower than the resolution what your computer pic has.. So these may be what troubling you..
Hope this helps you out.. :)

How to start slideshow after selecting the pictures

When you power on the picture frame, a slideshow will automatically display the photos on your memory. (If you have not inserted a memory card yet, the slideshow will display the photos pre-loaded into the internal memory.)

To restart the slideshow, press

ENTER again, or press the Slide Show button on the remote control.

Pictures are cut off! Just got a 8 inch Pandigital photo frame for Christmas and loaded pictures on it. Since it does not have auto-rotation, I manually rotated any pictures that needed it before I put...

The frame is cropping the images to fill the screen. You need to change the image display settings from Optimal to Original in the setup menu. This way the entire image will show.

New xD M+ card won't work in the digital photo frame.

Alot of the digital photo frames will only display images up to a certain resolution. There is a good chance your camera resolution is too high for the photo frame. try change the settings on your camera to 3mp or so and take a few photos and see if they will display.

Unable to load more than ~50MB into df780 digital picture frame

I had the same problem on a 128 mb memory. I figured out that it can only load a certain # of objects/files. So I started from scratch, and I created a new folder in the pandigital and copied all the files/photos/mp3's into that 1 folder. Thus 1 object. I was able to fill the entire capacity after that. I can't believe I actually helped solve one! I hope it works for you...

Hi there, you may just need to download the latest display drivers for your radeon card... google radeon drivers and you should easily find them.

It depends on the quality of the image and the number of mega pixels at which you shoot photos. HP Photosmart M517 shoots at up to 5 mega pixels + there is an additional setting called "5MP Best". 5MP setting creates images that are around 1.5MB - 3.5 MB in size. So, assuming 2.5 MB as an average, you'll get around 52 images per 128 MB at the best possible quality. You can do the other math. However, the camera always displays an "estimate" of how many more pictures you can take.

Now if you want to increase the number of pictures you can take you should decrease the image quality. 5 MP regular might give you upto 64 images per 128 MB, 3 MP may give you uptp 128 images per 128 MB (these are all approximations that evaluated based on my experience with this camera). I suggest that you don't go below 3 MPotherwise you'll get images that look OK on screen but not good for printing.

Ok if its showing the files that are on the unit then we know that the unit is not dead. Hmm sounds like an lcd problem like maybe it got dropped or banged and damaged the lcd display or a cable connecting the display could have come loose. Good luck
