Yes you can connect it to an ipod/iphone or anything with an aux outlet. Some require an adapter to the plug but it'll still work.

The source/power button in the top left corner changes the mode. Press the button until the aux appears. The auxillary device must be plugged in to register on the stereo.

I have a alpine cda 9815 cd player. it has an auxillary input, am i able to add a usb port connector to it? Or what parts should i add so i can play music through usb flashdisk. thanks

there is no option to add a USB port on this model. An alternative to use a usb flash drive is to use a MP3 with the auxillary input. Cheap MP3 with works fine too.

I want to be able to hook up my wife's new version 4 Ipod but there is no little ipod hole in the Alpine in front to lug it into. Is there an aux hole in the back of the unit or? Dean

To use an auxillary input on this radio - you need the correct cabling to "trick" the radio into thinking there is a CD changer attached.

CLICK HERE to see the adapter required.
Then you will need a different adapter that converts your 3.5mm jack to component RCAs.

THIS ONE is the second plug you need.

Then you can use your 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable.

Or you can eliminate this cable and get a 3.5mm MALE to Male RCA cable like this one...

Thanks!!
