Miele 228 power brush stopped working

Does the motor on the Head Run but the Brush does not turn... change the Belt, the brush head is operated by a rubber belt this is so it has no direct drive so if you suck up something then you ruin a belt and not the motor. Besides you should change the belt as per MFG directions. I change ours at Least 2 times a year and if you do.. say Pull in a Rug corner and it smells like Burnt Rubber? ... you just decreased your life of the Belt.... you'd be surprised on how well a New Belt helps your Vac pick up things. Change the bag often too, do not wait till it can pickup no more. The bag is Not meant to be FULL to be changed, besides it keeps Mites in the trash where they belong and not a breading ground in your closet... If you have a bag-less clean and rinse (All Filters Every Vac has a Filter even the Bag-Less ones) and let dry after a day of vacuuming follow MFG directions, Hope this helps.

UNABLE TO FIT BELT ON MY ULTIMATE UPRIGHT G BAG VACUUM CLEANER.

You need to disengage the carpet head from the vac itself. Do this by lifting the headlight and rotating the thumb lock underneath. Then release the carpet head by turning the square dial below the light. Once you have lifted the head off the vac you will see from the backside of the head there is a belt hook holding the old belt in a twist.
pop the brush cover off at the bottom of the head but note which end of the brush goes right and left. Slide the new GENUINE belt onto the brush roll and inspect the brush for hair and thread caught at the ends.
Reisnatll the bottom plate in reverse order making sure the brush sits level in the housing. There are leveling blocks at each which are color coded.
Once again rotate the square dial on the front of the housing, in both directions if necessary ,You will feel the dial tension as it hooks your new belt inside the housing and twists it into installation position.
Reinstall the head in reverse order onto the vac.

MY EUREKA WORLD VAC ROLLERS ARE NOT SPINNING. THE LIGHT IS ALSO BURNED OUT. IS THERE A CONNECTION BETWEEN THESE TWO EVENTS?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Some of the Eureka brushrolls have a sensor in the brushroll that indicates that the brush is moving and the sensor and the light are linked together – you may have a bad brushroll – to check that you need to remove the brushroll, stand it on end and spin it freely, if it does not spin the bearings could be bad or needs to be replaced with a new brushroll and a new belt. The belt change is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning. . If you need further help please refer to a local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. In the door there are vacuum lines that could be pinched or bent and are not letting air through to the bag, the system is designed that if the bag get to full or the air flow is restricted it will pop the door open and save the motor from burn out. This is repairable and nor to expensive and to check with the local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to call the Electrolux cust serv @ the factory for further information. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Can you give me directions on changing a shark Euro-Pro UV219CS vacuum belt?
Thank you.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Shark vacuum cleaner belt is a side driven belt and you need to remove the bottom plate and remove the belt and place the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and make sure the ends are the same, insert the brushroll and then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and the track it in a straight line, replace the bottom plate. If you need further assistance please fee free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer with questions. Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. We need to know the Brand name and Model # for the item B4 we can get you directions. I suggest that if for example, it is a Hoover or Eureka then go to the website address of Hoover.com or Eureka.com to find a cust serv phone # and then call them for the owners manual of that particular vacuum. . I can not seem to get the attachment for the upholstery cleaner to operate what am i doing wrong????

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The attachment works on the suction from the Hoover Steam Vac and it’s either a straight suction tool or a revolving brush, check the front of the machine to see if the is a switch to turn on and odd, also before you attach the upholstery tool check the end of the hose for suction, it may be that your upholstery tool may be clogged or the brushes are not spinning and a part may be broken. Feel free to check with you local vac dealer or a new or a good used part if you find out what is wrong. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hi Pmob20,

Remove the brush and clean all the string or whatever may be trapped at the end edges of the brush.  This is usually the case with Bissel vacs, that string or fiber gets trapped at the ends of the brush assembly.
