Typical color codes in Florida are;
white to W1 for heat
yellow to Y for compressor
red to R-RC-RH for power in
brown to W2 and or emergency /auxillary heat
green to G or Fan
orange to reversing valve(o/b)
blue to common.
You can open the control panel on the unit to verify these colors and components.

Where is thermostate on 1998 chevy cav

If u have a 2.2L, I have the same car and just replaced the thermostat and it took 10 times longer to find it than to replace it!!! There is a "Thermostat Housing" on the engine itself, front of motor, left side but IT DOESN'T GO THERE!!! There is a 2-Bold, 2 or 3 hose, bracket out in front, very accessible that it goes in!! I found mine just searching diagrams of chevy cavalier's and found it in a 03'!!! The place it goes comes off of the "Thermostat Housing" and runs right up front of the car, left side!!! Hope this helps some!!!!

I need a booklet for directions on how to operated & set this thermostate, as I just purchased the home.

Since you didn't give the furnance/air conditioning model number or the model number of the thermostat controlling them, it is impossible for us to give you good advice or instructions.

Suggest you obtain the make and model number of your thermostat and either google it for the owner manual or come back on the site with it and we will try to help find the owners manual for you.

I REPLACED WATER PUMP, FAN CLUTCH, TOOK OUT THERMOSTAT, REPLACE RADIATOR CAP, TOOK RADIATOR TO GET CLEANED AND STILL OVERHEATS WHATS THE PROBLEM

about the only thing left is that the engine block & head may be blocked, also check that the radiator hoses have not gone soft & flatten, especially the bottom one, because you have done everything else that can be done, at worse it could be a blown head gasket......hope this helps.......cheers.

Help please. We lost instruction manual for our Carrier programmable thermostat. Not even sure what model but looks like a EDGE TP-PRH01-A. It says "Check Filter".

check filter is a setpoint left in the program of the thermostat it does not effect the thermostat peformance check carriers web site or google that number may come up but that reminder does not effect the function .
