Question about Arris DCT2608
Dvd is jvc model xv n310b and dvr is motorola model dct6412/2000. I connected the oupt cables from the dvd to the dvr's color coded input jack recepticles but I cannot determine how to get the dvd signal to my tv. If I connect the dvd directly to the tv it works but it looks liike I ougnt to be able to toggle between the cable/dvr feed and the dvd feed.
I work for a cable company that has this exact cable box. in our system we choose not to actvate this option. cable companys go to motorola and give them the exact features that they want the box to perform. most cable companys won't have that feature added mainly 1 due to cost and 2 if you have that type of box it probably has on demand available, so they want you to rent a movie then to play it on dvd.in my opinion straight to the tv is better anyway, the less devices you run the video signal through the less problems you will have . all those ports on the back of the box is standard for the 6412, but are not always actvated.
