Your computer cannot find a boot-able storage device, i.e. hard disk drive, to boot from. Either your hard disk drive is defective or the OS (operating system software) is corrupted and needs to be re-installed.
You might want to try going into setup and setting your boot drive options to DVD drive as your 1st, HD as 2nd and Floppy as 3rd. Put your windows disk in the DVD before boot and run the program from DVD.
Your Hard Drive may have failed. to be sure. enter setup (F2) then run the hard drive diagnostic utility. a scan can take up to an hour or more and will tell you if your hard drive has failed. if it has you will need to replace it and reinstall your operating system
1024 X 768 is the ideal setting for a 17" Monitor. Are you still getting sound output despite the error message? If no sound then your integrated sound card has failed, you will have to install anew one in the PCI Slot, otherwise forget about the warning & keep listening. You could try visiting the Official website to see if any driver updates have been released till date and refresh the drivers(sound) installation...............sodeep PS: Check your Floppy drive? If not working simply disconnect and likewise in the BIOS if REQUIRED.
