I am trying to connect my samsung computer moniter up to my dvr survalance system. It came with a vga converter. On the DVR it has a BNC connection and the back of my computer has a DVI-D connection and a RGB inport. My first question is do I need the converter since the survalance system is Digital and I have a DVI-D port?

I purchased a system from Lorex model # LHV08C02

Lorex used standard BNC and provides Siamese cables for all their DVR systems; like this one.. If you want to use your own, use 75 Ohm RG-59 or RG-58 with compatible connectors. If using premade cables, use BNC female to female. Power is separate and is provided by the 'wall wart' style power adapter.

Where can Ifind help for installing a Ouku brand 4 channel cctv dvr?

I had exact same problem and it took forever to fix but I did fix it. If I plugged the camera into the tv it worked but when I tried going through the dvr no picture at all. The problem was the power supply cord to the cameras. It was bad, I happen to have another one and that was it. All cameras working!

Hi, i own a bosch eazeo observation system however i do not have a dvr for the system. will the bosch dvra1081 dvr work with my observation system?

Hi, most certainly it will.

There should be a VCR DIN attachment at the back, and monitors hould have been installed or delivered with a cable for this din connection to get several video in and out to BNC bajonet, and audio out for plugging to the bosch recorder.

I have several used or new of this dvr´s or cable´s if youre interrested.

Getting my samtron to work on my cctv

Not all DVRs have WORKING VGA output. I used to work for Nuvico, and we had 2 different versions for DVRs. Ones with VGA connection. The other with non-working VGA connection. VGA port itself does not guarantee. Some DVRs also have DIP switch in the back. You can simply toggle between composite or VGA output. Ones with DIP switches often require reboot, and from my experience these do not work well with VGA monitors. Also... Make sure VGA monitor support low resolution. Stand-alone DVRs' native resolution is either 600 or 800 horizontal lines.
It will help alot if I know the model of DVR/CCTV

I bought a CCTV system for a school but I have some electric problem that the image looks like it's flashing? what is the problem since Iam new to this. IT's like it has brightness

Line loss from the camera to the DVR or monitor and ground loops are the most common problems. If you only see black and white from a color camera, it typically means the cable from the camera to the DVR is too long and/or has high loss caused by a poor BNC connector.

Excessive brightness can mean the video signal from the camera is too strong. This can be caused by an impedance mismatch from using the wrong type of video coax (cabling).

Additionally, a camera power supply plugged into a different electrical circuit (not the same outlet as the DVR or montior) can cause ground loop problems that can affect the video quality.
