Re: i dont know how to reset and clear every thing off my...
You will have to format the player from the player's menu, not the computer because if you do it from the computer,it will only sync with your computer and it will not work on any other computer. This will delete all of the music off of the player, so copy and save any wanted tracks. But it will refresh your player so that it should work like normal and it will be cleared. There should be a option in the player's menu that should say format and select that. After it is done formatting, then connect to the computer and make sure it works.

Reset All NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION! If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds. This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation will be gone.....look and see if there is a boot file in one of the folder on the player. If there is delete this file....This file gets put on the player when booting your computer with the player connected.....Download Update (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe)
I had to use my labtop to recognize 2.0usb port Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works One of the cd's I put on my sansa had some file in it that made my tracks bad and was hard to delete follow above it worked
Make sure the songs are in the right file format first. I would only download songs that are in mp3 format for starters - sounds like you did this already. If it is still not playing, follow the reset method that the manual suggests. If it is still not working, it may be defective. These "windowless" players are the most difficult to use, because there is no on-screen display to let you know what's going on.
1st plug your sansa into the computer then go to my computer and click on the sansa e 250 icon then click on the "media folder" and after that click on the songs folder then a bunch of folders will come up click on these and they hold your songs from there you can delete them.
read your manual (the whole thing if you have to then maybe you'll get a better understanding on how to function the MP3 player) if you dont get it then repost your message again saying you read the manual then help with what ever you need and give even more detail on how the mp3 player funtions on the outside
You cannot use Itunes for anything except an Ipod device. And any files you get from the Itunes or Rhapsody for example are copy protected and require specific software to copy to an MP3 player.
If your songs are in MP3 format (not downloaded from Itunes or another subscription site) then you can set your Sansa to "MSC" mode which makes it act like a flash drive. Then you can just drag files to the "MUSIC" folder on the sansa.
If this is on an Apple computer things are different - if you are let us know.
