Any local audio shop can fix this but, most will tell you to buy a new one. this is a capacitor issue. the capacitors have lost the ability to store the current need to operate this amp. the regulators are blown as well. this repair will cost about 200+.

The fridge is blowing the 12 volt fuse as soon as I power up the motor home, The fridge is turned off and it still blows the fuse, I tried to undo the 2 wires that go to the 12 volt block on the fridge and...

Unplug the wire located at terminal J4 (12v positive) on the control board, and see if you are still popping fuses. If so, then the fault lies between the wire you just removed and the fuse that keeps blowing.

If the fuse holds, and blows when you plug the wire back onto J4 terminal, then unplug the wire(s) at J2. These go to your door heater (used in humid conditions to remove condensation), as well as the interior light. The switch for the door heater is located on front panel, or is at the top edge of the freezer compartment with door open. It is not unusual for this switch to have issues since it gets chilled and moisture condenses on it. If unplugging the wires at J2 allows the fuse to hold, you probably got a shorted heater or bad heater switch. But, pull the lens off the interior light, and check the contacts there as well.

If the fuse still blows with J2 removed, then unplug the connector in the top left corner of the control board. This goes to the control panel on the inside of the fridge. If the fuse blows, replace the control board. If the fuse holds, the replace the control panel.

It keeps blowing fuses when i put one in

Check that you wiring is correct. Positive to positive and negative to negative.

If it still blows fuses then Power supply or output rails are dead short.

Take it in to a reputable dealer and have it repaired.

Kenwood KAC-729S keeps blowing fuses. Checked all cables, re-ran power, remote, and ground. All good, still blows them at power-up.

Hello opey_69a,

Here are the troubleshooting steps for fuses blowing.
1) Remove all wiring except ground, power and remote and see if the amp powers up without blowing the fuses. If it does, the problem is in the input cables or speaker wiring.
2) The use of loudspeaker impedances below the recommended minimums will cause the amp to draw excessive current - check.
3) A shorted or grounded RCA cable may cause the fuses to blow - check.
4) If an amplifier fuse blows continually, with only +12 volt, ground and remote leads connected, the amplifier is probably defective, most likely shorted output MOSFET's. In this case the amp needs professional repair or replacement.

Hope this helps.

Keeps blowing fuses

It has a short in the wiring which is "not user fixable". I think the wires are crossed. Take it back, they need to repair or replace it. I suggest you replace it. Take the GPS with you show you can show them the problem. If you bought this on line call Lowrance and find the nearest repair center. Repair it yourself and you loose the warentee.

Lanzar amp

If it keeps blowing fuses then #1 its internally damaged or "blown" .. Or #2 i would make sure you have the battery power hooked up to the + terminal and the ground wire running from the car body to the - terminal.. so if its hooked up correctly and keeps blowing fuses then it requires repair.. I wish i had better news but thats all it can be...
