I have the same problem. My turntable did not work after being in storage for a few months. I removed the platter to discover the belt laying loose. How do I reinstall the belt?

Once the turntable mode is selected picking up the arm and moving it to the record should start the deck spinning.

We just got a crosley radio CR66 model,we cannot get the turntable to activate,it wont turn!It is brand new! so I dont understand whats wrong? we hear a click sound but nothing happens please help ty Bill

remove the rubber plate at the top of the record player,, under that is a metal plate, in that plate is a large "sight hole" look in that as you turn the plate around,, look for the belt that has fallen off the motor shaft and the plate itself,, if you can't locate it, there is a spring clip at the base of the post that holds the metal plate on, remove that , you will see the motor shaft, and the ridge on the underside of the metal plate that the belt has to be on, they sometimes fall off in shipping,

I just bought a replacement needle for a Crosley CR66 4 in 1 record player and now my records sound distorted and far away

It might be that you have caused an earth wire to the cartridge to come off or loose. Check the connections to the cartridge.

The turntable belt wasn't atached and i need th know how to put it back on.

Good day. Lift the rubber mat off the platter and notice the two rather large holes in the plater. Put your thumb and forefinger through the holes and pull the platter off the turntable unit. Place the platter upside down and notice the inner rim which holds the belt. Place the new belt around the inner rim and replace the platter onto the unit. Now, with tweesers, working through one of the large holes, pull the belt onto the spindle motor. Once on, spin the platter by hand and make sure the belt does not slip off. Hope this helps

Crosley Radio CR246 CD door will not open

Try checking these:

- the CD door motor rubber drive belt (if there is one), it could be either loosened or broken, if so, it needs to be replaced

- the door open/closed sensor switches (contacts), they could be oxydized or damaged, they are located somewhere under the CD tray, possibly at the front end of the unit (depends on brand and model), you need to clean these with some fine sandpaper

It could be something else like the door motor driver IC, the power supply for the motor, a bad capacitor in the motor drive section, a loose connection or a broken wire somewhere, but hopefully, it's just a bad rubber belt or a dirty contact.

Can't play records on my crosley cr66 turntable

You have to lift the tonearm up, and move it to the right slightly. This starts the turntable moving.

Turntable does NOT turn.Crosley CR66 vintage Radio and Turntable

Try this - GENTLY move the phono arm to the RIGHT until you hear a click Tof course, do this after you turn on the power via the volume dial and set the other dial to"phono"). Doing this turns on the turntable when you haven't used it in awhile. This worked for us, hope it works for you.

If it doesn't work, you can check the belt by removing the tiny clip at the center post and gently lift the turntable platform/tray to peek at the motor and belt underneath. The pulley is on the right at the 2 o'clock position, the belt should be in contact with it.
