Harmony by Logitech; they have models ranging from 70-400 based on your needs. They are 100% programmable, meaning any function your unit has, it will duplicate. PC software is very user friendly. You can set this remote to control up to 14 different devices and one button control. They even pass the Wife/Mother, & in-Law tests.. They have a substantial Database of products on file so you don't have to have your original remote. If you have problems while programming, they will actually answer their phones 14 hours a day. Why do I like these so much? Price/Performance/User friendly & I program all remotes from Universal to Crestron. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, reply & I will answer for you & help any way I can.

Pairing code for Denon AVR-3802 and Dish remote to enable remote to work the volume from the Denon surround system receiver.

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

Power Scan AUX Mode:
1.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the AUX button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
2.) Press 222 then # Hold the "Aux" button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
3.) press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
Press and release the large red Power button.
4.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.
When programmed in AUX mode you will need to press the AUX button to use the remote for your amplifier. I hope this helps!

I need the code to input to a universal remote for my Sony STR-DE325. Please help.

I just got mine to work with the STR-DE325. I programmed my Dish receiver remote following the reference in the back of the Dish receiver manual. I missed the comment at the beginning of the receiver codes at first which stated to enter a 2 before setting a tuner/amplifier code on aux. I then used the first code listed which was 683 and it works. So it was hold aux on the remote, wait until the aux was enabled by blinking, enter 2, enter 683 for the Dish remote and enter pound. E. 639 645 650 687 728 729 730
(located in the Appendix)

See Chapter 10 here:

for instructions on how to program the AUX setting on your remote and how to set your remote to adjust the receiver volume while controlling the Dish receiver.

Remote do not want to accept satellite tuner code

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.
