Right click on my computer->manage->disk management
check that your 106gb drive will be unallocated. right click on the block below and click->create new volume. create it and the drive will be allocated

When i turn on my computer it says no bootable devices help

That means that there is no accessible drive (usually an internal hard disk drive or CD/DVD-Rom drive) on which the computer's start-up system (known as "BIOS") can find an operating system (OS) such as Windows. Without a working OS, the computer can power up, but nothing more.

In a practical sense, this almost certainly means one (with both of the last two being a remote possibility) of three things:
1) The computer lacks a hard disk drive (HDD) entirely;
2) The HDD on which the computer's OS was installed has a critical problem- perhaps involving its physical connection to the rest of the computer, but more likely a failure of the HDD itself, &/OR
2) The OS has suffered a catastrophic issue so severe that BIOS can no longer even register its existence.

In either case, if this was a previously-functional computer that you used, you should prepare yourself for the likelihood that everything on it is now gone. You'll have to have someone knowledgeable do some hands-on work (e.g., trying a different HDD with installed OS known to work in place of the current one) to find out what's going on.

You didn't provide any background or contextual information about your situation, so unfortunately that's all assistance that can reasonably be provided in this forum.

I have 250GB segate internal hard disk but framework is corrupt how i upgrade or recover my date (Disk not detected)

if its not detected this solution maybe crazy but sometimes it will work.. cover the hdd with polythene (air tight) and keep the hdd inside the refrigerator - freezer for 4 - 6 hours and try to connect as secondary hdd (not master) in linux os installed computer and try to recover the files.

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

your system either does not detect a bootable disk, or the HDD has failed. Disconnect any floppy disk, USB storage devices connected to the computer and make sure the HDD with an OS installed is the primary boot device. If you get the same error, remove and reconnect the hard drive. If all else fails, try repairing or reinstalling Windows. If nothing works, you may need to get a new HDD.

You must check if your bios detect your hard disk. check also if you r hard disk is sata and if it is on master jumper. see also it the HDD sata is enable in your bios. if all of this is ok, it must find the HDD. If not, you need to change your HDD.

We have a Power edge 840 that can't not detect any HDD in starting process, although power and data led are on. Can you help me to solve this problem? Thank you very much! Best regard!

Check both the POWER and the DATA cables between the motherboard and the HDD (Hard Disk Drive).
Remove them, and then re-insert them.

Try connecting the DATA cable to an alternate connector on the motherboard.

Remove the HDD, and connect it to another computer,
to see if the HDD can be detected on that computer.
If not, the HDD is the problem.

My computer shows to setup array and does not detect one hard disk

Please try to system reformat/reinstall OS to your HDD under SATA connection. then kindly check the jumper setting of HDD under IDE connection which I suggest to place it at Master while the SATA HDD will be automatically recognized as Slave by your computer. best regards

System can detect Fujitsu MHY2160BH : 160GB HDD, but cant install

it seems that your computer might have a SATA hard drive which could not be detectable by windows xp, try to install vista it will detect it easily.

otherwise use dm (disk manager) for detection and partition.

Install xp on acer extensa 4220 hard disk not detected

Acer Extensa supports two model of HDD installation 1) AHCI and 2) SATA.

Windows Vista get installs on both but for Windows XP you need to Enable SATA option.

For that go into Bios, Change option of Hard Disk from AHCI to SATA. After that you can install both XP as well as Vista.

Try it, and mail me update: ansari.yasser@gmail.com

i am using Windows XP on Acer Extensa-4220
